The shack next door is 12" from our fenceline and my neighbour is taking advantage of the missing fence currently (a new one is being installed shortly) to remove all his rusty iron sheets from the wall and roof. He replaced the roof at the weekend and has put plastic on the wall to protect it from the weather until he returns next weekend to finish cladding the wall with new iron.
Well, it is really the engine hoist. A folding one I got from harbour freight for $89. It was not quite long enough so I had to use it without the safety bolts in place. My son commented that I am always telling him never do things like this (as I do something unsafe)

Just as the Antony Gormley Another Place sculptures are going to leave the UK shores a young lady and her uncle were working hard on the beach creating their own version as a replacement.

My long-loved sewing machine was slightly damaged during the move - my fault for not putting it in a box or our car I guess - and so I've bought a cheap as chips machine to use for the moment.

I made another trip to Comet after work since my power has been cutting out and the laptop adapter wasn't working as it should - I'd got to the stage where I had to get the wires in a certain postion then hardly dare breathe!
I have so far had four replacements - fortunately at no cost since it's always within the year warranty - the first one only lasted a month but this one has been the longest lasting - 5 months.
And since they no longer make the same one (no surprise there!) they replaced it with a different model which was £3 cheaper and gave me a refund as well!
I started to keep the receipts after the first failure so I think I'm going to be ok with this one! I am not one to complain in shops (that may surprise you) but so far I haven't needed to argue the case, so well done Comet.

The radiator in the upstairs sacristy storage area had leaned forward and dug into the floor. It was very off plumb. Supports were weak and valve and steam trap needed replacement. The radiator had been installed directly in front of the stained glass window, with a loose board barely protecting the glass. The first floor is visible through the floorboards
