It's funny how a skirt can hang in the wardrobe for months, unworn, and then suddenly, after wearing it one time, you keep on wanting to reach for it :-)
A trip to Willow Point Resort located in Buchanan Dam, TX
Weather predictions for TX were horrible. Obviously, this made it less than optimal to view a total solar eclipse, corona and all.
But, when life hands you lemonade, drink it... in other words, take the photos anyway. Not disappointed.
About this photo: And then the clouds cleared up enough AGAIN! YAY! Here we see a nice uniform set of Baily's beads with hints of the chromosphere (sun's lower atmosphere), the photosphere (visible light layer - a.k.a. our sunshine) and some nice prominences.
I'm gonna guess, we are now a second or so from true totality. Once the beads disappear, we are "In It!,"
Technical: The bead capture I give 100% credit to my Nikon camera, and some planning. I had it set to 20fps with bracketing settings 9 and 1/3 step. Which translates to about 9fps in a half a second with a quick reset to the bracket sequence. rinse and repeat :)
I wasn't tagged but eff that, I'm still doing it :DD

From our GRIPS walkabout last night in downtown Waterloo...a great time out with all! This one is cropped for composition, converted for B/W and a few lights cloned to simplify the image...
It's been right there for quite some time this building. I was actually doing a totally different kind of shoot this day, but as I parked my car more or less in front of this building I just had to grab a shot of it.
Mamiya RZ67, 50mm wide Sekor lens, shot on B&W film, probably Ilford FP4 or maybe even Fomapan 100.
She's back! I took her picture at last year's con. I missed the big group shot of all the Slave Leias posed around Jabba the Hutt (the rumors were flying around that the picture was happening on Friday, but on Friday I found out that it had happened on Thursday....)
I repeat of a baby shower set I did a while back. Ladybugs and flower were inspired by the nursery set. The round cookie design was used by permission from by friend Callye... still my favorite design of hers! :)
Oh I do love a good leaf image! Winnie & Walter and Simon Says Stamp STAMPtember collaboration 😀

Mass Coastal Railroad proves that history does indeed repeat itself. MC 2011, an ex-New Haven FL9M and a recent addition to the roster, crosses the Cohasset Narrows railroad bridge with the Train to Christmas Town. The 1935-vertical lift bridge proudly stands in the background.
With a few exceptions, this photo could easily be taken in the 1960s when New Haven was running the "Day Cape Codder" or the "Neptune" service from New York to Wood's Hole and Hyannis.
HDR photography is one of the best solutions when it comes to bad lightning circumstances. By using HDR you can show all the details in shadows and highlights perfectly. Oh and I stay by the fact - > Beelitz is not boring.

A second shot of one of the 10 Mercedes Benz Citaro 0295s that have recently entered service with Cardiff Bus. These are a repeat order after 10 of the same model were delivered in 2013, and they bring the number of Citaros in the fleet up to 40.
All of the recent deliveries carry branding for Service 27 (Thornhill), which sees competition from New Adventure Travel's X8, and are represented by 132 as she passes Cardiff Castle in Castle Street in late August 2017.
