I have posted several images of this diving tower. I am still fascinated by its shape and construction.

More stuff from the Storm that rolled through the other night. Really fun watching all that lighting!

One of the many apartment buildings in downtown Seattle. Were it not for blinds, they'd all be exactly the same, which both intrigues me and makes me feel like I need to shower... I'm not a fan of the cramped feel of a city.

Winter or summer this red barn is a standout.

Finally some descent weather for the weekend, so we decided to repeat a scramble we hadn't done in a long while. 20 km's of walking, gaining more than 1300 m's - a great day!

Point Lonsdale Australia

This is a re-edit as my earlier post that had extreme distortion of the legs due to my ultra wide angle lens. The waves aren't quite as good but it still turned out nice. Also this is one of the a few that I didn't get my lens completely covered in water so it's the keeper!

Cropped down version of an earlier photo, posted long ago.

Last Saturday's walk around London took me back to some of my old haunts. There was the Bridge of Aspiration and then this, Thomas Schütte’s 'Model for a Hotel 2007', which sits on the fourth plinth at Trafalgar Square. This was taken at dusk - hence, the dark sky and the strongly lit panels, which came from nearby spotlights.

Revisiting some of these locations has been an interesting exercise to see if and how my style has changed over the last few months.

I wonder if the hotel was ever built???

The problem I have is which photos to leave out. I just put my camera on 'repeat' a couple of times wearing this outfit, but I've ended up with lots of photos I like. I will have to be selective about what I upload ;-)

In todays neat juxtaposition here comes U717 running 5 minutes ahead of yesterdays time with standard power and a Keenan recrew on board. This was an 0100 train and should've been my S Curve shot around 0900 but I got no problem settling for this with my new 400

Sorry I had to repeat the green wall, there were only 3 different colors haha. This was taken at Railroad Square again (took some photos here a week or so ago).

Today was a good day, got to sleep in cause I have class at 2pm today. Then had two classes and got the highest grade I've gotten so far on my math quiz (AND I didn't study, go figure) and then I just came back from a bible study sorta meeting with my campus ministry which went awesome. God has blessed me with such amazing new people in my life! Hope you guys had a good day, too.

I brace myself for another

repeat.

The inhale/exhale of all things.

I ask myself

If I can handle

The ebb and flow

Which will sustain

And eventually damn me.

Does it matter if I don’t have a choice?

I feed the meter.

I read the scriptures.

I heed the words of my elders

Who tell me

To stitch sturdy knots in the fabric of my potential

Who tell me

To fear the great and inevitable

Consequence.

My skull is seething

I feel my bones begging

For a revolution that may never come

When I may cast off the shackles of polite existence

And go back

To eating berries.

I probably should have waited for a Monday to upload this, for maximum effectiveness. I'm too impatient to upload at the optimum times.

faro, color attack

The Wisconsin and Southern E9s bring the Circus Train from Baraboo through Slinger, Wisconsin back in 2000.

The Circus train from Baraboo to Milwaukee ceased its annual run over the Wissor and WC shortly afterward, allowing this view to be another one of those 'never again' shots.

Plus, I recently scoped out this shot for a southbound Wissor freight and the overgrowth of the trees have rendered this a now-impossible view as well.
