A 41 minutes video, heavily color corrected was exported in H.264. It took 16 hours to render the whole video. Rendering times takes...well, a lot of time to render. Program use: Adobe Media Encoder CS5 with Macbook Pro

Rahi Varsani, a student from The University of Western Australia (UWA) studying Nanotechnology, recently completed his Honours project at the Centre for Microscopy, Characterisation and Analysis (CMCA) investigating nanomaterials using electron energy loss spectroscopy (EELS) and energy-filtered transmission electron microscopy (EFTEM). The project was carried out under the supervision of Prof. Martin Saunders (CMCA) and in collaboration with the research group of Prof. Hui Tong Chua (Mechanical Engineering).
Part of his research included the 3D tomographic reconstruction of elemental distributions from a tilt-series of EFTEM element maps, which he used to characterise metal nanoparticles encased in carbon.
