Time, separates us from the lessons learned a generation or more ago. We do well, however, not to forget those lessons, for they are too horrible to repeat. I know that Remembrance Day was 3 days ago, but, sometimes, I just gotta go with the flow. I didn't forget, just ran out of time. A big thank you to those who sacrificed their lives, time with family, and their futures.

On one of his happy days.

To all those poor souls from every nation who suffered and died in the trenches of the first world war. So that we shall always remember.

From November 11 (UK rememberance day, Armistice de la Première Guerre mondiale in France) to November 19 (German Volkstrauertag), this week is dedicated to remembering the dead of the First World War. I’ll try doing a photographic equivalent showing places of commemoration to the dead of the great war from 1914 to 1918 from the Württemberg region I live. Though monuments here are naturally dedicated to German soldiers, we should commemorate the dead of every nation that fought the great war.

I remember my self when i was there

In the same Dreaming bed

Laying with layer ..

i can't denial that i was happy

But i won't say the truth if i did

I'm sure .. that she feel the same way ..

But i know .. she cant hear anythings accept his voice

and his colorful lays . .

what can i say to her !!

nothing !!

The ghosts of love

will enter her life ,, i can see them standing in front of her widows

Lazy glorious days, will they return ?

An afternoon with memories......

Remembering Mum, it would have been her birthday today. Roses because they were her favourites.

I can think of no reason

Why the Gunpowder Treason

Should ever be forgot....."

On the anniversary of 9/11, it is a time to pause to remember the horrors of the day and those who passed on...

Recuerdo cuando aqui habia una playa con sus piedras, sus gaviotas y sus casas olvidadas por el tiempo.

No nos olvidemos de nuestros errores o estaremos condenados a repetirlos.

Salvemos La Caleta.

I remember when here was a beach with its stones, its gulls and its houses forgotten in the time.

Let's not forget our mistakes or we will be condemned to repeat them.

Let's save La Caleta (Tarifa)

I remember what she used to be like. I remember the vigour and her passion for life. Alas, I have seen what ME/CFS does to a person. Give her life back, I plead. "Nothing can be done", they say. And so my humble contribution to #millionsmissing last year; A pair of shoes and the reflection of a memory.

To my wife i dedicate this poem:

"On the surface she smiles,

Its nothing but a masquerade,

To veil her true feelings in a shroud of dismay,

Because the surface is crumbling,

No one see her hurting,

All we see is the glimmering reflections of what was,

Off the broken shards that she was made up of

Broken pieces are scattered everywhere,

A life of imprisonment within herself,

An inhumane fate."

Ok... I am still backlogged from two trips ago. I went to San Antonio for work. It was HOT and HUMID. I am not used to it being from dry California. I had a chance to walk around downtown and the Riverwalk area on the last day. The Alamo seems a lot smaller in person, and I thought everything was bigger in Texas! I guess the photos can play tricks on you! It's probably how a lot of people feel when they first lay eyes upon the Moulton Barns in the Tetons.

About The Alamo: Originally known as Mission San Antonio de Valero, the Alamo is a former Roman Catholic mission and fortress. It is the site of the Battle of the Alamo in 1836. For more information, visit the Alamo website.

The Tetraplya were monuments built at the crossroads of key streets, and their structure had a gate on each of the four sides. This Tetrapylon coincides with the point where the direction of the colonnade street changes bending, slightly, toward North. The Tetrapylon of Palmyra (reconstructed with material found in situ) was built in the 2nd Century AD. It is one of the rare monuments of Palmyra where granite columns were employed.

Haven't been to Nighoj for close to 2 years.. I am all ready to flex the 10-18 ultra-wide-angle-lens muscles. Let's see when that happens.

Till then.. enjoy this :)

On September 11th 2001 i was in the 10th grade when they turned on the news, we all sat and watched what was happening, such a tragic event!

Let us remember that day, those that we lost, but also be thankful for those we have.

He came to me for a few days and was a sweetheart for all the time he spent. Sadly, he died a few days later. I will be sharing some photographs to share some moments I spent with him.

10th Anniversary of 9/11 remembered at American University.

Students joined on the main quad for a moment of silence and to place the flags in the ground. One flag represents three people killed by the terrorist attacks that day.

This particular flag represents one student's lost friend.

Izzy and Chris were our first cats. Unfortunately, both of them dissapeared after a few years, Chris first and then Izzy. They were inside-outside cats. We looked for them intensly, but could not find them. We hoped they found other homes (although they were very happy in ours) than becoming prey to some predators around (coyotes, bobcat, dogs).

This week's artist of inspiration (Christine Peloquin) creates wonderful backgrounds with superimposed portraits. I created this background from bits and pieces either from my stash or Google, and the image is from an advertisement for a drawing workshop. Time consuming, but challenging.

Remember that night

White steps in the moonlight

They walked here too

Through empty playground, this ghosts' town

Children again, on rusting swings getting higher

Sharing a dream, on an island, it felt right

We lay side by side

Between the moon and the tide

Mapping the stars for a while

Let the night surround you

We're halfway to the stars

Ebb and flow

Let it go

Feel her warmth beside you

Remember that night

The warmth and the laughter

Candles burned

Though the church was deserted

At dawn we went down through empty streets to the harbour

Dreamers may leave, but they're here ever after

When all our tears have reached the sea

Part of you will live in me

Way down deep inside my heart

The days keep coming without fail

A new wind is gonna find your sail

That’s where your journey starts

You’ll find better love

Strong as it ever was

Deep as the river runs

Warm as the morning sun

Please remember me

Just like the waves down by the shore

We’re gonna keep on coming back for more

’cause we don’t ever wanna stop

Out in this brave new world you seek

Oh the valleys and the peaks

And I can see you on the top

You’ll find better love

Strong as it ever was

Deep as the river runs

Warm as the morning sun

Please remember me

Remember me when you’re out walkin’

When the snow falls high outside your door

Late at night when you’re not sleepin’

And moonlight falls across your floor

When I can’t hurt you anymore

You’ll find better love

Strong as it ever was

Deep as the river runs

Warm as the morning sun

Please remember me
