"be not miserable about what may happen tomorrow. the same everlasting Father, who cares for you today, will care for you tomorrow." --- St. Francis de Sales
note to self: remember. remember. remember.
I found this photo of a girl in the building. I don't know who she is, if she lived there, or what her connection is to Seika Dormitory.
"Now, more than ever before, the people are responsible for the character of their Congress. If that body be ignorant, reckless, and corrupt, it is because the people tolerate ignorance, recklessness, and corruption. If it be intelligent, brave, and pure, it is because the people demand these high qualities"
~20th President, James Garfield

Sometimes, I get lost in my memories of you and I and the times we shared. The days where we sat and talked, or the days we laughed and smiled. The days where I could have cried. The days where I was so shy. You infatuated me. Made me think, dream, wish, hope, seek, feel, love. It was exhilariting and frightening all at the same time. You were constantly changing; always one step ahead of me.
And then you were gone. You had to go and I was scared of that. You were out of my reach. No one to hug; to wrap my arms around. No one to joke with; to laugh at ourselves. I wasnt ready for memories. I wanted now and forever. But I knew quite well that you were gone, and the days we spent together were no more than fragmented memories etched in my mind.
And now, today, I find myself okay with you gone. I know you are made for much greater things than what you had here with me. You've changed my life. And now, you are going to change the world. "You're gunna go so far darling".

"Người ta bao giờ cũng cảm thấy những cái mất đi lớn hơn nhiều lần những thứ giành được.
Chuyện đã vậy, nói sao mà chẳng được. Chỉ có một sự thực là đã không ai ngăn được điều đó. Thậm chí còn làm nó xảy đến nhanh hơn."

Remembering 9/11: This was a photo I took 13 years ago on 9/11/2001. I remember going to work not realizing the severity of what had happened. Work remained closed, so my friend and I headed home, when we saw this crowd on the street watching the news on a TV in a window. That's when we realized how bad the situation was. It was a wierd feeling in the city. There was a sense of heightened alert and my friend said that maybe we should get out of the city. #tbt #ThrowbackThursday

This photograph was taken at the American War Cemetery at Henri Chapelle in Belgium. I had to use my sisters compact camera in order to take this photograph. Quite some difference with my usual gear :-). Some more retouching had to be done but I'm happy with the outcome.
