On the 1st December 2013, a large tree in Bancroft Gardens in the centre of Stratford-upon-Avon, was yarn bombed, forming The Remembering Tree. The Remembering Tree is a place to come together and reflect and celebrate those you love or have loved and lost. The tree is visible from many aspects of the town and will act as a colourful focal point over the festive period, giving people space and time to celebrate life in all its colours. It will in place for the duration of Christmas and into the New Year.
The "yarn bombing" was carried out by a charity called GAGA, who aim to generate growth for African children and communities devastated by HIV-AIDS and poverty, through the goodwill of people in the UK and elsewhere. You can visit the GAGA web site here:

... everything seems so real. But when I try to remember, I realize that all those memories were just in my head. They were my interpretations of your words, gestures and ways, but probably never the truth.

I decided to try something and this big greeting from @simonsaysstamp was perfect for that 😄
I stamped this greeting with regular Distress Inks, used 7 different colors. I first inked the stamp in a couple of places, stamped, used a different color in different places than first and stamped. Did that until the whole greeting was finished 😊 I used the mini cubes though.
Today would have been my mum's 92nd birthday. She outlived everyone in her whole family! I took this photo in 2007 back in Canada where she lived.
Remembering - A scene from a dream where one almost remembers a time and place but it’s not quite right and inside out.. From a former school for the blind, Coatesville, PA.

........everything was manual in the old barbershop. I don't, but I can imagine the effort that went into operating these tools and how tired one's hands would be at the end of the day. I bet the conversations were better then......

Seis de noviembre. El pasaje de su colonia está callado. Silencio.
Esa tarde… "I'll say it any way, today is another day to find you". Recuerda la canción, recuerda su rostro, su voz y, por primera vez, está pensando en esa persona.

Irritated with my empty living room, save for a stack of books, I purchased a couch the very next day. Irritated with my hair, I got it cut right after I bought my couch. I made a new friend and saw an old friend. I don't remember anything else, but I'm sure it was a good week.

As long as I remain in your memory, I am not gone.
Today’s prompt on ODC being immortal gave me the inspiration to create this image. I had seen a ghostly photograph about a year ago and knew one day I wanted to try my hand at it. I have to give a huge thanks to my husband for laying and waiting for 101 photos to be taken while I ran back and forth to check the viewfinder for just the right position. (I believe he took a short nap at one point). After playing, cropping, layering, enhancing, and converting to black and white, I decided to add a blue filter.

"- I'm not coming back, I've done something so terrible, I'm terrified to speak,
but you'd expect that from me I'm mixed up,
I'll be blunt; now the rain is washing you out of my hair and out of my mind
keeping an eye on the world, so many thousands of feet off the ground
I'm over you now I'm at home in the clouds, towering over your head...
- I guess I'll go home now, I guess I'll go home now...."
WEEK 29 – Return to Superlo, Set II
(cont.) ...a ghost town and a trip back in time, even! I always found it funny how the calendar hanging on the wall of the seemingly-deserted prep area, seen in a semi-close-up here (it's that thing that says Sanderson Farms at the top), was similarly abandoned for years on end, forever living in September 2013 (...and October 2013 below that... and, strangely enough, skipping ahead to January 2014 below that!). This photo was taken in January 2016; for better or for worse (probably the former, although I'll miss getting my chuckle when walking past this area :P ), it was finally removed by my June 2017 visit.

These places are public so these photos are too, but just as I tell where they came from, I'd appreciate if you'd say who :)
