My 27 years at Sam Houston State University provided lots of changes in technology. For most of that time, my job was to convince people the changes would lead to improvements. Not always the easiest sell. Very humorous to look back now on what we thought was good then.

Shot on Kentmere 400 PAN. Never a fan of earlier iterarions of this film, the latest version is exceptionally well behaved. I mean, just look at it!

Picture taken in 'Onze lieve vrouwen kerk' - Maastricht (Holland).

(a day late) I watched the tower disappear on the roof with my colleagues. It was so sad.

Photo by Sam Fuller. Thanks Fares for sending it my way. This was taken at live oak park in berkeley,CA during the memorial for one of the east bay's finest, and one of my closest and truest friends. Noah Rosenthal, aka FYTER BEOK. Thank you to all who made it out to celebrate his life. He will never be forgotten...

Freedom is Not Free. We honor you this Veterans Day and always, for the lives you sacrificed.

With the heat we've had around here on the east coast of the US, I've become just about fed up with Summer. I'm ready for a change in seasons. So on that note, I went back to photos I took before the summer.

This shot captures the very last spot of snow I ever saw this past Spring (you can see the leaves on this tree hadn't even opened yet). We caught a late season snow shower one morning and I ran outside to capture the flowers with a gentle blanket of white. As the sun came up, the snow started melting and melting fast. I got to this tree and I thought the snow had already melted away or fallen to the ground. This was the only pocket of snow that remained, still clinging to the white blossoms, almost like it was trying to hide from the sun. It's also the last shot I took that day and I haven't seen any snow since.

Please Mother Nature, speed up the exit of summer and bring on the Autumn colors.

my last photo of Rodan...he passed away peacefully in his sleep last night...a sweet and loving friend I will always remember.

This is a fascinating novel about an early settlement in the Australian bush and a young (seemingly British) man who, after he had been living with the Aborigines for several years, appears in their village.

From the archives, a shot from last summer to join the fun of WWW - Wannabe Warmer Wednesdays. A great idea by our friend Barb (flic.kr/p/puEiVe) that is so needed for some of us at this time of the year.

Sometimes; The miracles, they are just good people with kind hearts 💞💫

A veces; los milagros, son simplemente buenas personas con corazones amables 💞💫

A close up of these beautiful Forget Me Nots I took last week for one of my days! (Processed in Lightroom 4 with Whipped Cream Lightroom Preset / King Pack) - I just love how perfect these look. They're so tiny until you get really close to them ♥

Haven't been to Nighoj for close to 2 years.. I am all ready to flex the 10-18 ultra-wide-angle-lens muscles. Let's see when that happens.

Till then.. enjoy this :)

This shot was somewhat inspired by my constant longing for the ability to relive my childhood. Perhaps the most painful aspect of life is leaving behind the happy-go-lucky innocence of childhood and spending each day trying not to think about all the wonderful things that are forever stuck in the past.
