With an imminent visit to the UK in prospect, I am now required to apply for an ETA (Electronic Travel Authorisation) by the UK Immigration & Visa authority. (My UK passport expired three years ago and I have chosen not to renew it.)
As part of the on-line application process, I had to make a photo copy of my passport, submit to a facial recognition process (which did not work) and then take a selfie under strict conditions (look directly at the camera, plain light coloured background, no clutter).
This is of six foties I took to meet that requirement. Every one was rejected, ‘cos they said the piccy did not match my passport fotie. Sod that for a game of soldiers: I retrieved a tiny print of that same passport pic and submitted that. Bingo! A match! I then completed the rest of my ETA application, but what a tiresome faff.
I am now authorised to revisit my country of birth. So look out Britain!
a test shot for yesterday without leaving it all the way open to get the sky. i think i prefer me in this one, but i prefered yesterdays image, if you see what i mean?
from the Rejects series -
These three candle blends were early versions of the final piece "All the Candles in the World," which has remained popular, but I think ultimately is my own personal favorite piece in my photostream.
Maybe these early versions will give some of you a chance to take another look at the Dark Red Candle Blend with an Hidden Heart.....
Reject!, er, I mean Study! for Peek-a-Paddy
-
An interesting and post modern take on what qualifies as art in general, this image quickly reveals the necessity of its own demise. On the up side, the final Peek - a - Paddy was a direct result of this monstrosity.

The passenger got rejected when he attempted to board - this is an S127. Take the 127 service and run one specifically for school children use, hence the S!
"There are some elements of bus travel that are operating slightly differently this year. We will have a number of additional buses providing enhanced capacity for school, sixth form and college pupils; the route number for these services will have an “S” prefix before the usual route number – for example the extra buses on route 127 will be numbered S127. Pupils from any year group and from any school or college located on the route can travel on these buses. If pupils from your school/college do need to travel on the same bus as those from another school then we ask that they sit with those from their own school, ideally from their own year group. Where possible we are asking pupils to maintain social distancing onboard, although capacity on these buses will be increased allowing students to sit next to each other and standing if necessary. The seats behind the driver and any facing each other will be taped off and should not be used. We recommend that all pupils over the age of 11 wear a face covering."
I haven't showed my tattoo off in a while. Figured it was time. I also wanted to test out my idea for one of my upcoming photos...
I'm doing the seven deadly sins starting on Sunday, and my lust idea is very similar to this.
"My sculpture professor asked me to be a part of his installation for the mamac.
In the begining i was a little worried about the aesthetic part.... i mean yes , its art, but avant garde can be somewhat surprising at times...
Then i saw the outfit ...nothing to fear about, so i accepted.Gladly i would say...
Now... after seventytwo hours thirtyfive minutes hanging immobilised from this d@mn piece of dead flora, i wouldn"t describe myself as glad anymore...."

No comments allowed as I've heard all the Trump excusers I can tolerate.
I had an idea for my 365, and that is why I borrowed Dave's 50mm lens. But I could not get it how I wanted, and I was getting tired and impatient, so I just stuck the camera in my face and snapped.
While I think this is a fine portrait, it just seems extremely boring to me...and this is coming from someone who tries to not go all-out when I take my 365's...
