This is when Nalz and I were on a tourbus. We had to sit on the bottom floor for a few stops before we got to sit on the top

I'm kind of tan. That was not supposed to happen.

I had trouble when burning the DVD-master. These are rejected DVD-s. All of them represent over two hours of rendering and burning.

More often than not, the lighting conditions aren’t great when we want to take a picture. This shot at the Toronto zoo was taken in a very low light situation. I didn’t want to use flash and risk getting reflections off the window and didn’t have a tripod, so I moved my ISO (film speed) up to 1250. The resulting picture was a bit noisy so I cleaned it up later using software called Noise Ninja. Most modern digital cameras offer ISO choices that can make a big difference in low light situations. Because high ISO’s result in digital noise (fuzziness) the rule of thumb is to shoot with the lowest ISO you can get away with.

Say what you mean or say nothing at all

Sometimes you make it, sometimes you hit the ball off the front of the rim, and it smacks you in the face.

strobist info: sb800 camera left through a 1/4" Honl grid lighting the subject, sb800 in a snoot to the rear of the subject pointed at the goal. Also a 3x3 reflector low camera right to add a little fill. Both fired manually using the pop-up flash on the D300.

I rejected this one and opted for something more intriguing.

this was one of my other options for today's 365. i chose the real one because of the composition, and the movement in the trees. this is a 10 second exposure lit only by moonlight.

Today I took the 5D for a walk for the first time in months.

I rarely post 365 rejects but I liked three of the shots I took today. This was rejected in favour of this one.

I would really like to know how a Ferrari got rejected in its annual inspection. At lunch, we posited that Mass has a regulation related to awesomeness, with a maximum threshhold above which cars fail inspection.
