Today in We're Here!, the theme is "Human Xmas Tree Lights". I've been wanting to do something like this since the Disabled Guy dragged the holiday stuff out of the basement on Thanksgiving week. I kept putting it off, and it worked out, because it became a theme for the Hereios group.
I decided I'd do this in the same style as I do the wire wool spinning. So, I dragged two strings of the old-school Christmas lights out into my yard with two fifty-foot long extension cords. I knew I'd never be able to get the lights wrapped around me AND get them spinning within the 20 seconds I had from my camera timer (I don't have a remote yet). So, I set it to take four photos. I figured I'd just delete the first two.
Well, It worked out pretty good. And I thought the other shots were funny enough to keep. Especially the last four. My 365 submission is from the second go-round with it. The first go around, I was spinning the lights too much and it totally illuminated me out of visibility altogether. The third set of four shots is my favorite though. Because when I rushed back over to the strand of lights- which I had carefully laid out in two straight lines- it got tangled somehow, so I spent the whole time trying to shake them loose and untangle them.
This was more fun than it should have been.
This scary hoose is near the old Culter Station. I think either someone was less than sober when they painted it, or a dragon with a bellyful of red paint vomited all over it!! ;-)
Ah, the rejected sticker for the 1996 Ford Explorer. I cleared three of the four warnings but a stuck emissions valve got the red sticker.
This is the one I think I really wanted for yesterday's shot. But I forgot and uploaded something different. Oh well. It's all good.
I was thinking about Jay when I took this, because he liked this picture so much I wanted to try it again. I think I like the new one even better.
TONS of hugs and kisses to Silver for letting me participate:) Going on throughout the month, so those who missed it today can still ogle the KICK ASS art displayed. You will be visually assaulted and love every minute of it!!
