I have often seen swans drink rain water from open boats that have become stranded by the outgoing tide but never as many as this in one event. There are five more swans just outside the frame. It certainly wasn’t what you would call an orderly system – never more than 4 drinking at a time and as one finished another took their place. Any that pushed in were quickly seen off!
I sat on a rock for around 15 minutes watching this display on mud flats in Chichester Harbour in Hampshire. My perception of swans being graceful and majestic (which they are on water) was soon dispelled. Even with their large webbed feet they struggled to negotiate the mud!

Friday tastes like light atmospheres,
It tastes like good moments among people we love and care,
It tastes like refreshment and sweetness...

Shame I wasn't there a couple of weeks ago. I could have used this image for the 52Photos group 'Hands' challenge. :))
Nothing you do for children is ever wasted. They seem not to notice us, hovering, averting our eyes, and they seldom offer thanks, but what we do for them is never wasted.
Children are like waters they can be refreshing
We followed the west bound coal out of Needles, through Ibis and along 66 to Goffs. I recall the train was struggling in the heat, and it stopped at Goffs, where the crew nipped into the cafe.
Thank you for visits, faves, comments and invites...it's much appreciated. Have a pleasant day and weekend.

How are giraffes most comfortable drinking? From up high, of course! This animal care staff member is standing on a second-story walkway as she prepares to offer Murphy and Tatu some fresh water.
Stopping by a watering hole for a little liquid refreshment. Fruity!
