Get a cup of water and do with it whatever you consider to be most refreshing. Triathletes are somewhat creative.

Fresh peaches or nectarines on a hot summer day. One of the best refreshments around!

My favorite refreshment of all time is simply water... especially on a hot summer's day sitting beside the pool. <3
We have a hot summer with extremely high temperatures and staying by the river is a real refreshment

On such a hot day we wanted a nice refreshing drink and this plum compote is exactly what we needed. Fresh plums in their juice served in these rustic cups as we wait for the food the arrive.

GROUP: MACRO MONDAYS
THEME: REFRESHMENT
SUBJECT: CHEESECAKE TOPPING
It was a hot day today so on my way home I stopped by this bakery for an iced coffee. While I was waiting, I saw these 2 cheesecake in their glass display case. Both are about 2" in diameter and topped with glazed fruits! I thought one might be a good subject for tomorrow's Macro Monday theme!
After taking a few shots, I didn't know what to do with the evidence so I put it in the refrigerator. I will deal with it later!
Happy New Week/First-Week-of-July Everyone! I hope your weekend had been a nice one!

I normally don't collect vintage soft-drink bottles; I picked it up at a garage sale nearly two decades ago with the idea of reselling it on eBay, something I never got around to.
Aging brain cells being the fickle things they are, I normally would not be able to pin down the exact date I bought this, which, in this instance, was February 1, 2003. I recall it had to be a Saturday, but then I remembered hearing over the radio the news of the tragic breakup of the Space Shuttle Columbia while I was driving to the garage sale. How I managed to connect those dots is interesting, but a little saddening.
Light, water, green and fresh air are natures recharge to the soul and a gift of serenity in an uncertain time.
You learn to embrace the rain when you live in the Pacific Northwest. It looks so refreshing on this pink Dogwood.

It is soooo hot outside, so drinking mostly water today. But this is in the refrig and looks quite refreshing - HMM!!
For those of you who have followed me of late would've noticed I've begun to put up my working shots for the current challenge on the week ahead's Macro Mondays. This week's challenge has the theme of Brew and I thought I'd use a (3 cup) cafetière. Now for those of you just flick(r)ing through you may not see any difference, and of course the theme and shot is very much alike. What I have a tendency to do is just alter a focal point, or indeed, add an additional focal point to draw the eye. You the viewer, as of course I do, will like some better than others (hopefully at least one?). I have left the identifications as shown by way of means to illustrate how I photographed them and then slightly altered various points ... thank you for taking the time to view my work, I am always very grateful.

I just had time to buzz up to Swan Valley for sunrise and then make it back to Idaho Falls for work. Being able to witness the awesome sunrise over the Snake River kept me refreshed, happy, and grateful all day as I thought of this beautiful creation we all share.
