...on a very hot day (Lens: Konica Hexanon AR 50mm 1.7)

This is one of my very favorite cards! Another special card from a friend in Africa.

This fly bends down on its long legs to sip some water drops and replenish. It's a pretty long leg. HFDF everyone!

I'm not sure but I think, next time I'll lower the point of view so that the light trails have the sky as background.

Tulip in my garden after a good watering.

A Giant Owl Butterfly (Caligo Memnon) longs for a taste of melon. These beautiful butterflies are found in the rainforests of Mexico, Central America, and South America; if you live in this part of the world, they are easily attracted to your backyard using any type of melon or fruit.

Look closely at the tip of its wing, you can see how it imitates a snake's head to ward off would-be predetors.

Also known as the Pale Owl Butterfly.

Perhaps a little too old and certainly a little too big, this youngster nearly knocked his ever patient Mum off her feet in its haste to have a drink.

Langfield Falls

This is a previous years photo of this lovely falls, but I can tell you the snow has melted off the road now enough to drive the forest loops out of Trout Lake! This falls is located just beyond Tire Junction on the 88 road, with a little marked parking area and trail that is only about 1/4 mile long.
