These two images were made on the side of the Mt. Lasson Valcano in California. After the Dixie fire these views are not there anymore.
I thought in these hot days a little visual refreshment would be welcome ;).
Ich dachte in diesen heißen Tagen wäre eine kleine visuelle Erfrischung willkommen ;).
Pulsatilla patens
This shot was originally intended to be of a lime capped bottle of Corona beer but the composition and colors just weren't working for me. So I tried a more vibrant colored adult beverage and I liked the result.
The goal of this shot was to line up the horizon of the Gulf of Mexico with the amount of beverage remaining in the bottle. It looked perfect on the camera but I now see that it is a tiny bit off. The tilted composition was done on purpose to add a little fun to the image.
Thanks for looking. I appreciate feedback!
This time of year there is nothing more refreshing or delicious than some cool watermelon. It's my absolute favourite in the summer. Taken for the Macro Mondays 'Refreshment' theme.

Wish I was Scandinavia-bound, as it is almost 34 degrees in my apartment, and I have to work :-((
Hope we'll all find a cool place by tomorrow, at least!
Stop by for a drink!
This photo was taken by an Asahi Pentax 6 X 7 medium format film camera and Super-Multi-Coated Macro-Takumar/6X7 1:4/135mm lens mounted on a Asahi Pentax 6X7 #1 Extension Tube using Kodak Portra 400 film, the negative scanned by an Epson Perfection V600 and digitally rendered with Photoshop.
For the Macro Mondays theme: Drips, Drops and Splashes.
CHEERS AND HMM
Due to a short holiday, I did not have much time to prepare for this weeks challenge. I arrived home yesterday evening and had to come up with an idea very quickly. I did not have the time nor the groceries for a splash shoot. It was already to dark for a shoot outdoors. So I had to come up with something else...
When I got myself a little refreshment, I noticed the little drops on the crown of this sweet red fruit beer and I found my subject for this week...
Thank you very much for your time your faves and comments, I really appreciate it.

Macro Mondays: Refreshment
Beer in a lavender-colored glass with embedded bubbles. The beer bubbles are only visible as slight trails in the reflection of the glass at the bottom of the frame. Backlit from a shaded window.
Cheers, MM!
I saw a lot of waterfalls today, ranging from big to tiny. Here I really loved the leading lines towards this small one. I guess there will be more to come...
It was beautiful and calm this morning at OxBow Bend. From the image there is no clue of the 100 or so photographers lining the road capturing this same image! Where I was standing we were shoulder to shoulder with crosssd tripod legs but who cares with a scene like this?
