It was warm enough to enjoy a beer on the back deck this Christmas. Something's just not right about that! But we still had fun.
Good 'ole Captain Hernandez is at it again. During our 11 mile hike to do an assessment of an isolated village in the Panjshir Valley, Afghanistan, Cpt. Hernandez dips his head into the river to stay cool.

At the Refreshing Mountain Wildlife Center, people are educated on the importance of biodiversity both here in Pennsylvania and around the world.
Main exhibits include Owls and Hawks, along with a diverse collection of native Amphibian and Reptile species (some of which are rarely seen!) The Zoological displays feature more than 30 species including: Rattlesnakes, Tropical Lizards, Pythons, and Poison Dart Frogs. After a visit to the wildlife center, visitors enjoy pollinator gardens and woodland trails and learn about Lancaster’s native Flora and Fauna through reading the educational plaques and Tree ID signs.
Not only does the tea room use some of the best tea products (from Sloane), but they also sweeten the steeped and chilled version with some of their additive and pectin free jams/preserves. So much bright, fruit forward flavours. Delicious.

its been a very busy week, but last night, the boy & i had some free time,
so we hopped on our bikes and rode to Hamburger Harry's for drinks & delicious burgers

Usually rain calms every thing and washes the trees. They appear more green, refreshing and pleasant.
Shot this some time back. But this is the climate around me now .. pleasant, refreshing
As hot as it was this day I wanted nothing more but to be able to sit under this and let the water just drench me.
The heat of the day does not only have an effect on Man but also on the animal world. Here we see two horses led into the refreshing azure sea for a much needed cool down. If they have to horses can swim as any other mammal, even the elephant which is the largest land mammal can swim for miles between one island and another. The Law of Displacement keeps them afloat as it keeps afloat the massive naval vessels - MALTA
