Theme No.1 is Yellow (#2)

Tuesday Photo View On Black (large size)

I had already set aside photos for my "Yellow" theme yesterday. But seeing them mostly flowers, today I felt the urge to shoot something different. I searched around the house to look for something that will fall under the theme and found a lemon in the fridge.

So I asked myself what would make this subject look interesting in a photo? Ding! and the above photo is the result of that.

I hope you guys will like it. Thank you for your visit.

Explored - Thanks everyone.

While dental hygiene is not a priority in the rural parts of Shan State, Burma where the locals chew betel nut, this very friendly local with a beaming smile hosted us in his home for lunch. Each village in Burma has its own character, way of life, and usually hosts a specific ethnic group with the trappings of their culture, religion, and political allegiances. Village life is much slower than the city and Western lifestyle. It is refreshing to experience and can recenter one if you slow down to embrace the change in pace.

Another fruit photo!! I couldn't help it... nothing more refreshing than a beautiful mandarin on a hot humid day like today ;)

Possible Lucozade advert anyone?

Have a load of oblong balloons left over (which I've previously avoided), and have been trying to find good angles on them.

They can be formed in to quite pleasing pill shapes, but 50% burst before I've even got to tying them off (and that's bursting in my face). This is one of the ones that did at least make it in front of my lens.

Bit of a long hot walk, so found a spot for a spot of refreshingness!!

Cool little waterfall and I am enjoying the spray!! 😁

We had a visit here to walk and then swim at Wadi Shab in Oman. Amazing and beautiful place..

Almost a two hour drive from Muscat, then a boat ride before setting off up the amazing Wadi following the water until we came to the area where we changed and then paddled and then swam to a cave!

There was also a shaved ice stand... from which I am sure some people got seconds!

This Blythe doll is Raspberry Sorbet. The timing was good for this theme (“Refreshing Treat”) in the Blythe a Day group, because as you can see, we have lots of holiday treats on hand right now!

Tuesday 24 September 2013.

Taken a couple months ago on our way home from our day at the Marin Cheese Factory.

We live near Sacramento where it seems as though every sqare inch of land is filled with houses and retail and commercial buildings.

It was refreshing to get away from it all and enjoy nature as we don't often get to see up here.

HGGT!

A mild and beautiful summer evening on a mountain hut - I couldn't resist and had to take a first sip before taking the photograph, so sorry for the fingerprints ...

Years ago, we use to have a Coca-Cola bottler in my hometown. For years, they use to paint the side of this hardware store. Well time marches on, Coca-Cola is gone and the hardware store has turned into a small little sandwich shop. The remains of the past are slowly fading. I've been wanting to capture this for a long time.

This photo was taken time ago...
