This week's challenge was reflection and I was inspired by another photo I saw online and decided to interpret it with my own background. Have a great week!
The Haas Haus in Vienna always offers a different view—sometimes even of the past.
In its mirror façade: layers of history, fragments of architecture, and a portrait half revealed.
It’s like the city is watching itself.

Modernity doesn’t replace history—it reflects it.
The reflections between the parallel pieces of marble make some of the background look transparent.

When I look at this I think of the many photo "sessions" and dozens of photos before I finally got the shot I wanted
This is a picture of a reflection of a clown epiphyllum flower that my wife grew. It lives in a hanging flower basket, which can be hard to photograph, so we brought the flower inside and positioned it so that I could photograph its reflection in a mirror.
Lightting: Lit with a Yongnuo strobe in a 24 inch gridded soft box at camera left. The flash, in manual mode, was triggered by a Yongnuo RF-603N.
Over the years, I've taken quite a few "Epi" pictures, and they're in my Epiphyllum Flowers album, if you like that sort of thing.

I've photographed a lot of plants and flowers, because they're all around us, work cheap, and never complain. I have an album of these images with over 800 pictures, and for each one, I have described how I lit them, in case you're interested in that kind of thing.

Reflection of Santa Maria del Fiore, Piazza del Duomo, Firenze
I thought I had better put a color photo out. ( but darn it, its not going to be very colorful !) Taking this photo I got caught. Down a quiet blacktop road in the morning I seen this house and knew that the still pond beside it would hold a reflection of the old place. I climbed 2 pipe gates to get there and a truck drove by and stopped at our car in the entranceway, so I quickly packed up and headed back and my wife was at the car talking to him. When I arrived I apologized, but I knew this was a special oppurtunity and he didn't mind at all. He was flattered that someone was even interested enough to take its picture. Got permission to return also with IR when the leaves fill out. Could of went the other way.This is in Lewis Co. Missouri.

My 3rd annual christmas reflection shot.
LOL! It wouldn't be the same without one. The colors are a little off but oh well! Working with limited light these cold winter days! {25 days of Christmas}
September has brought down the heat of the summer considerably. We get rain and showers in the evenings, blessings from above....:-)
It was late in the evening, I decided to go for a walk, of course with my camera. All the birds had settled down in the trees, butterflies, squirrels, monkeys and deers had also left for the day. As I was returning with disappointment, I spot this magic place where the reflections could be seen in the water. Tamarind tree leaves & blue sky are in the fore front reflections.
To get the real essence of the picture, I didn't use flash.
This is the first time in years that I have visited Mt. Ranier and managed to catch a shot of Mt. Ranier reflected in Reflection Lakes. Usually, the mountain is smothered in clouds or the wind erases reflections. While it was windy, there were a few protected spots where Mt. Ranier succeeded in being reflected.
