Some lovely cloud reflections on the River Forth at low tide today. Managed a walk over the bridge and back - about 3 km round trip. Highlight of the trip was a pair of Peregrine working the Feral Pigeons on the bridge structure. Didn't see the kill itself but one was successful. Needless to say my lens has now been repairs but has not yet been returned but these were the first shots with the repaired camera. Longannet Power Station on the left and Grangemouth straight ahead

I often see beautiful reflections in this building with huge Glass Window Exterior. It always makes for interesting photos.

Wonga Wetlands near Abury on the NSW/Vic Border

An old photo that I took sometime ago but decided to give it a new look. Trying my hand now in using CS5 so most of the post processing are done there. Those familiar with this place will find something missing on the background but this is me now trying out what CS5 can do :-).

An added bonus getting the cloud reflections in the water.

A walk in St Ouen between rainy days, unusual sunshine today so we are making the most of it...

Before I learnt photography - I have since learnt to not use a flash inside although this one makes for a nice star reflection :-)

Same location as my upload before, only one hour earlier, before sunset and the low-tide coming in ...

Another one with reflections and water, I was inspired by some of Linnea Strid's paintings on flickr. Arantxa helped me take the photo with her camera, they are her hands.

Yesterday I found out reflection of the moon on the river surface, and took this shot from the Sunset Bridge over the Manose River. The moon was almost full (14 days old), and the river was very calm at that moment. For the first time I realized that the moon was reflected on the water so brightly and clearly.

昨日の日没直後,吹上海浜公園のサンセットブリッジから月を眺めていたところ,川面に月が映っていることに気付きました.月がこんなに明るくはっきり水に映ることを初めて実感しました.

Since the number 808 is the same backwards, forwards and upside down, the theme for Down Under Challenge No. 808 is reflections. The number 808 is supposed to appear in the image, so I've included it here, though, because I didn't want to mess up the image, you'll have to look for it...

This is a composite of two images: I took the stilt and its reflection from another image and placed it over/under the reflected image of Mt Tamalpais. Both shots were taken in the Corte Madera Marsh.

This shot was taken while leading a group of six and seven year old children on a spring nature walk through a wooded urban park. One child called our attention to a tiny water strider walking along the surface of the water, a lesson in water surface tension itself. I noticed the vivid reflections which appeared particularly brilliant and unusually colorful as a backdrop against the radiant verdant tones of the bright, fresh, leafy vegetation. The contour of the beech in the right foreground created a serpentine focal point. The bed of soft textured moss provided yet another of nature's nascent enhancements. The effect reminded me of an impressionist painting, an observation that shall be shared with the children as a entry point into that art form. I had set my Olympus E-510 on its "Vivid" mode which helps to account for the brilliance in those backgrond reflections.

Actually I don't like the floor in my flat so much. The fake marble pattern can look quite dirty and distracting in pictures. But in the recent Galleries 263, 260 and 254 I've noticed in some images there is a nice shine on the floor. So I have tested different lighting settings to achieve the best mirroring and gave the floor a thorough cleaning with a high-gloss floor detergent. The mirroring is still weak, therefore the shadows from my body must overlay the reflection in order not to fade the mirroring. The only way I could handle this is to face the flashes agains the walls behind me and not to light up the mirror image too much. After some tests I think this is the best I can do. The reflections add another interesting component to the images, which I really like. What do you think?

Stay safe and healthy!

In spite of the recent rain, there are still many beautiful leaves to be seen. The weather this morning was perfect for a quick walk around the pond at Long's Park, complete with lovely reflections...

With all my ❤️ I thank you for your ⭐ or 💬 or just for 👀 it.

A cloudy day in Trondheim enhances the vibrant colors of the traditional houses along the Nidelva River. The calm water reflection invites you to immerse yourself in the serenity of the moment, while the oil-painting style adds an artistic touch that captures the essence of the place.

Used the Figge Art Museum as a base for this shot. Flipped the image (more dramatic looking down than up)

and then layered in a nice sunset.
