I’ve bought a little M43 camera to use in those situations where dragging a DSLR and several lenses along doesn’t work that well. Yesterday I took it for a little test in downtown Oslo. The water had been shut off in one of the fountains near the National Theatre and it had lots of little puddles with different kind of reflections, so I decided to play around with that.

The tail end of a KC-10 tanker, as seen in my visor. You can barely make out Fezzik and Turbo's jet on the left side of the reflection, i.e. my right.

On reflection this is one of my favourite Bridge shots i've got. It was a spur of the moment decision to stop due to the stillness and glad i did - really like the soft wavey reflections. :-) 0.9 hard grad.
This time I thought of capturing the beauty of my city, Kolkata, usually called the "City of Joy" because of the passion with which the city engages itself in evry small festival irrespective of relegion and other barriers.
This is the "Princep Ghat", built in the everlasting memory of James Princep who was an extraordinarily brilliant research and at one point of time served as the honorable Secretary of the hallowed Asiatic Society. This gifted person is especially remembered for his role in deciphering emperor Akbar's Brahminical script. James Princep for all his enthusiasm in research and analysis, died a premature death at the young age of forty one.
The bridge you can see is the "Vidyasagar Setu" and the water is of the holy river Ganges.
