Pelargonium photographed along Redleaf Avenue, Wahroonga, in the northern suburbs (North Shore) of Sydney, today, Wednesday 13th May, 2020. Samsung Galaxy S20+ mobile phone camera.

Canadian 'Lipstick Red' maple leaves, once upon a time, in my garden at Castle Hill in north-west Sydney. Re-visited today, Saturday 4th July, 2020, with some modifications in Snapseed.

Cheers from Sydney!!

I shot this a week or two back for the final Macro Mondays theme which was Redux, where we were asked to combine two themes from all of the 2021 challenges. This was meant to be a combo of 'vibrant minimalism' and 'leaf'. Somehow I never got around to posting it but I like the colourful nature of it so thought it worth posting. Better late than never as they say.

Autumn in Melbourne is always beautiful, with many wonderful deciduous trees full of colour and ornamental vines like this one, but you have to be quick to catch the latter for the red tones of the season come on very quickly, and just as quickly the leaves are gone.

Melbourne has experienced a wonderful Indian summer this year, and as a result, not only are there still plenty of beautiful blooms about, but the Autumnal colours are starting to appear.

I think that autumn is often the best season for leaves. Whilst we all enjoy seeing new leaves in spring after the barren season of winter, it is in autumn that we get to notice all the fine veining, delicate textures and sharp edges of the leaves as they change colour and array themselves in their autumnal costumes of reds, browns, oranges and golds.

Autumn is now well and truly with us here in Melbourne, and the cooler winds of seasonal change are blowing away the remnants of summer, like it tosses the red, gold and orange leaves that carpet the ground.

The other day was a perfect autumnal day in Melbourne: sunny, but not too bright, warm, but not hot, and perfectly still. Therefore I thought I'd go for a walk and take advantage of the sunny conditions and take some photographs. I am particularly enamoured with red leaves in autumn, so imagine my delight when I chanced upon a street tree covered in what looked like a wonderful red autumnal leaf curtain!

Yesterday was a slow day 😎

All experience is preceeded by mind, led by mind, made by mind. Speak or act with a peaceful mind, and happiness follows like a never-departing shadow.

This includes these wonderful golden yellow English maple leaves in the inner northern Melbourne suburb of Fitzroy.

Fallen leaves, they're everywhere.

Captured at Mt Tabor Park and processed for Sliders Sunday using Deep Dream Generator and Snapseed. HSS everyone!

Good Morning.. The Sun is rising, the leaves are falling, everything is golden and red, the air is crisp, and its gonna be a beautiful Autumn day...

The first snow of the season always draws mixed reactions from the people around me. This leaf could be cheering because it is soon ski season. Or it could be calling for help as he hangs on to a few blades of grass to keep from sinking into the snow. However you greet the white stuff, it is part of our Canadian culture. Get your snow tires on and embrace it!

How many 'Hearts' can you see...?

Happy October and Happy Bench Monday...

A Single Red Leaf...

A few weeks ago Karen and I made our way to the south end of Heart Lake Conservation Area; The fall is a fickle time. some years the leaves changing colours are okay and others they don't change much at all. some years they last for a long time others a sudden storm and strong winds and its all over.

This is probably the last weekend for shooting fall colours in southern Ontario, the colour display is off the charts, so may varied shades of red, yellow and burnt orange.

we were in the midst of the forest where we happened upon this spot where a tree trunk was almost obscured by yellow and gold leaves, right there in the middle of the trunk was a single red leaf. it really stood out from all the other leaves of yellow orange and gold.
