I prefer a red jacket, always great to give dimension, in a crowd: easy to find!
I bought one for Paul, although he doen't really do 'bright' colours!
Now he pops up in so many of my photo's! LOL
My husband and fellow photographer Paul is still a hard man to photograph as his camera is always 'glued' to his face, tee hee.
I got lucky, it is a matter of patience, and being ready! LOL
The corn was golden-ripe, I had been taking 'close-ups', when I spotted him, yes I had finally been able to get him in a red jacket, after all these years, now it was MY turn to put a 'figure in a landscape', tee hee.

Mists move in from the west as the tide moves slowly towards the coast. An observer watches the placid drift of both ocean and breeze at Broadford harbour.

I grew up watching Mister Rogers' Neighborhood. On his show was a segment called The Neighborhood of Make-Believe. This was a domain consisting mostly of puppets, some costumed characters and other actors appearing as themselves. One of the most interesting characters (though she grew on me over the years) was Lady Elaine Fairchilde. She lived inside a spinning museum, had a magic boomerang and had traveled through space to the Planet Purple. She had a bit of the classic fairy-tale witch about her. She was always cooking up some mischief, casting a spell or causing some chaos in the neighborhood. Each of the characters in the neighborhood was invested with lots of personality and each were used to help children understand how to deal with feelings and work through their own problems. Lady Elaine was a bit scary for many children and for some she was not a favorite character. But I think she was one of the most important characters on the show since she tapped into a lot of emotions that many children have to process through, like jealousy and anger for instance. She also had moments where her generosity and solidarity with the other characters came through. Often her chaotic exploits were a result of unprocessed feelings working themselves out in unhealthy ways. Once she could see how her feelings and behaviors affected others she usually would change her tune. All in all the neighborhood wouldn't have been the same without her.
Moraine Lake still had me in awe, nonetheless; imagine 10 giant peaks towering over an emerald lake, with layers of pine trees skirting the lake, alpenglow, reflections and all the good stuff. I could probably just sit around the lake and do nothing but admire it all day, but we had to check out Lake Louise and had to move on. Here's my first ever iPhone pano and my usual #shotoniphone6 hashtag. :)

The scene depicts the first capture and attempted deportation of Captain Jim. He was taken on the morning after a particularly heavy night, by Major Look of the Royal Redjackets, acting on a tipoff from someone who'd lost a boot eating contest to Captain Jim the night before.
Captain Jim was brought to the docks still chained to his ship's mast and with his confiscated booty on show for all to see. However, the ship destined to take him back to Bristol and the gallows never arrived. Instead Captain Jim spent a night in New Providence Garison.
During the night Captain Jim escaped. It is rumoured he dressed as lady and made his exit through the privy window some say assisted by the Major's wife who'd fallen for him. It is true that a week later the Major’s wife left him and the Major unable to face the double disgrace, turned to the bottle. In later years, a ruined man, he joined a pirate crew himself.
On our second Dolomites tour, while scouting, we discovered the 2,254-meter-high summit of Col de la Puina, for which we immediately planned a hike.
From there, it offers a spectacular view of Monte Pelmo.
With a height of 3,168 meters, Monte Pelmo ranks among the highest peaks in the Dolomites.
After a strenuous ascent, one is then rewarded with this view.

Bei unserer zweiten Dolomiten-Tour entdeckten wir beim Scouten den 2254 Meter hohen Gipfel des Col de la Puina, für den wir direkt eine Tour planten.
Von dort aus bietet sich ein spektakulärer Blick auf den Monte Pelmo.
Mit einer Höhe von 3168 Metern zählt der Monte Pelmo zu den höchsten Gipfeln der Dolomiten.
Nach einem anstrengenden Aufstieg wird man dann mit dieser Aussicht belohnt.

La Vila Olímpica del Poblenou is a neighborhood in the Sant Martí district of Barcelona, Catalonia (Spain). It was constructed in the late 1980s and early 1990s for the 1992 Summer Olympic Games which took place in Barcelona. Its construction was devised by Oriol Bohigas, David Mackay and Albert Puigdomènec as a residential area in the otherwise industrial and working-class district of Poblenou, which underwent regeneration but involved massive expropriation, as well as the destruction of a sizeable portion of the district, including Industrial Revolution factories of architectural value such as Fàbrica Foret.
I walked behind the field seats to get a more frontal shot of Paul McCartney during the concert. My own seats were far left in the 4th row. Not to shabby, but it was nice to see him head-on. Pro cameras were not allowed. This was taken using manual settings on a Canon Point and Shoot Powershot A570IS (not exactly the newest technology, but it got the job done).

I visited Trollstigen in 2016 as well, in sunlight... But it wasn't chopped liver in the fog either. I drove up it slowly and blissfully, blasting the "King Arthur: Legend of the sword" soundtrack, which suited the mood in the dramatic landscape of dark, wet rocks. :q
One of my travel plans involves:
- Taking a train from Gothenburg to Åndalsnes, near Trollstigen
- Renting a car and driving to a campground between Trollstigen and the scenic town of Geiranger
- Renting a tiny cabin at the campground for a couple of weeks
- Hanging out by the 2nd most beautiful river ever (?), which flows past the campground
- Driving to (and down and up) Trollstigen, then going to the viewing platform (etc) and feasting my eyes on the valley for hours
- Driving to Geiranger and feasting my eyes on its surroundings for hours
- "Swimming" in the aforementioned river
- Going for day hikes, if I can find any trails for non-elite hikers :B
