A candid street photo of a young beautiful lady who sits on a granite stone bench by the granite stone wall and is fully absorbed by reading an interesting book about great love and adventures (maybe). My guess is she is waiting for her friend or friends and either she is a bit early or they are a bit late. A kind of minimalistic street scene. May the happiness be with her.
he wears lidl over adidas in front of adidas. his bag says: the strength of the workers is the strike. he looks at his phone. the billboard looks at him.
the city empties itself of everything unnecessary. what remains is movement, color, and the quiet certainty of direction.

Vestrahorn is an imposing mountain range that makes for stunning photography all year round. This photo was taken during the Midnight Sun season in summer, when the golden glow cast a beautiful light all over the undulating black sand dunes.
a man stands on the cobblestones. a simple fact. his back is turned, his face is a secret. all you know of him is the hat on his head and the violent red of his jacket. it is the color of a stop sign, of a warning, of life. he holds a bag of the same color. he is looking at something, perhaps a menu, perhaps a memory from long ago. for a moment, he is a bright, solitary question mark on the gray street.
calatrava built a city of the future. she brought a banana. they sit surrounded by genius, talking about whatever married people talk about after forty years. the water reflects everything except what actually matters.

The Klöntalersee lies in a deeply cut side valley of the Linthtal above Glarus. South of the lake rises the Glärnisch

in the north of the Dejenstock (2012 m above sea level).
An old lady wearing red jacket was sitting on a bench next to a church wall, while happily watching the cow parade Zuglete of Alpine Festival in Gstaad, Switzerland.
This image is dedicated to Reto / swisscan, who recently retired from Flickr, either permanently or for an extended break -- hopefully the latter. People come and go from Flickr, but it is a bad sign when longstanding contributors of high-quality work leave because, as Reto recently put it, "Flickr has become a dumping ground and a battle field". I think there is still more good than bad, if you are selective, but... something to think about.

Here is a tough job: a window cleaner in January, seen at Roy Thomson Hall, Toronto. This building was designed by Arthur Erickson, and was completed in 1982.

But this was no solution :) My wonderful wife in front of the Clashnessie Falls, Scotland. Four weeks ago and itchy feets again...
Could it be your toothbrush
Could it be me dirty wash
Could it be the milk you left
Last time you came by
Could it be that pasta we ate
And made to much of
Like months ago
Could it be them pancakes you made me
On my birthday

On the day before Christmas, with a snowstorm approaching a few hours away, it seemed like a good day for a snowshoe hike to a favorite spot. It's difficult to access in the summer months due to over crowding but off season it's a lot quieter and those azure waters are as lovely as ever. We had it to ourselves at first but a surprising number of people showed up a bit later. That's my better half on the left - doing her best to look like Santa in that red jacket. Merry Christmas!

Had the fun opportunity to shoot a modern dandy (www.instagram.com/dandy_offiziell/). Strobist info: one strobe shot from the top left through umbrella.
I was fortunate enough to score 4th row seats for the Paul McCartney Concert in Cincinnati, OH, on August 4, 2012. What a phenomenal show.
Professional Cameras were not allowed in, so the D300s had to stay home, and I took an old point and shoot, which drained the brand new batteries I used in no time. I still got some good shots. This is SOOC...I probaby should have edited.
