There are apparently plans to make improvements to the seafront here in Deal and this shelter is likely to disappear if the plans go ahead. While its not the prettiest shelter I've ever seen, its very popular. I've just been doing some reading on this and they want to build a 'wave wall' (is that the same as a sea wall?) from the Royal Hotel to Deal Castle. I really hope the shelter gets to stay, all four sides of it were occupied when I took this photo, which isn't unusual, but I suppose it will depend on exactly where the wall is going to be built.
