Cashel Street Re:START on a walk around the city catching up on what's happening March 14, 2015 Christchurch New Zealand.

A simple rectangle, attractively perched above the sea, accessed from the main road which runs above the church, the road down to the church is very steep. There is a small S porch, topped by a bellcote, containing one bell which details the building of the new church, further N at Llywngwril in 1841-3, to which the congregation moved to wholesale, leaving Llangelynin as a time capsule, being reopened by Harold Hughes in 1917, restoration coming late, in 1970 and 2003, when the fine skeleton figure was found. So much to comment on here, all good (if you can excuse the very 21st C ‘elf and safety warnings), lovely early Tudor roof, rare Georgian pine painted benches with the names of proprietors clearly labelled, even the large hollowed stone from the beach, in use as a stoup in the tiny porch, it’s all just wonderful.
A portion of the aforesaid garage and attached toolshed. I believe that what looks like a knot in the toolshed siding far upper left is actually the butt of a pine bough which fell through the roof. The new garage can't come soon enough.
This beautiful pendant is set on a rectangle glass tile and topped off with diamond glaze for a beautiful clear glass dome on the face of this piece.
Topped off with a silver plated Aanraku bail and an 18in silver snake chain.

Rhyolite. Sitting outside of one of the harshest places on earth, this town somehow managed to thrive for a short few years in the early 1900's. Now, it is a tourist destination. A ghost left to the desert.
