Where is the focal area and why did you choose it?: Your eye goes right to the dark shadow lines.

  

2.Successful use of geometry/Score: 8

What geometry type are you representing? How does it effect the your photo?: I used rectangles. The various shapes going in different directions make your eye travel around the image.

  

3.Contrast / Score: 10

Describe the areas of low and high contrast in your image.: The shadows are dark contrast and the lines between the bricks/highlights of the rods are light contrast.

  

4.Understands the rule of thirds. Score: 8

What type of balance are you showing in this photo?: Asymmetrical balance.

How did you use design to create depth?: The rods stick out and the wooden planks sink back from the bricks.

Describe the type of lighting you are using and discuss how it effects the image.: The lighting is coming from the right and you can tell that from the direction of the rods’ shadows.

How did you use pattern?: There are vertical planks, horizontal bricks, and diagonal shadows, all repeating.
