Some of the minifigures bought from my local BL store recently. The CNY minifigs were being sold out quickly, I suspect a scalper has been raiding the store as usual.
With New Zealand's restrictive axle weight limits and dimensional requirements, the 8-wheeled tractor unit has proliferated in recent years. Unlike some other offerings in the marketplace the Mercedes-Benz Actros doesn't look like a hastily conceived adaption whereby another steering axle has been bunged underneath !!
L.W.Bonney & Sons have a very mixed fleet, the majority of which are adorned with their attractive, traditional and well-executed livery. The treatment of the front grille on the Actros is most pleasing IMHO. All in all a most attractive modern lorry!
Im not so enamoured with the Actros's replacement, but it may yet grow on me.......but NEVER in plain white!
Been a minute since I’ve shared on here. I’ve been busy workin on the railroad and don’t have a big slot to photograph anymore.
With all the unbranded E300 now repainted, the repairing program has moved to the Northern Lights branded examples now that their branding is out of date.

Two cars which I built recently. Quite happy with small builds... buying too much from BL can burn you out...
We have all seen the recent TV coverage of Morocco post the earthquake. Seeing sites that I have visited, in particular specific buildings really brings home the terrible nature of this event. I must admit that the people of Morocco whether in Marrakech or in the Atlas Mountains came across as being happy, friendly and helpful. Let’s hope our world remembers these attributes as Morocco starts their recovery from this natural disaster. This view is the exact same one that the BBC used this morning and shows part of the Jemma El-Fna and the Koutoubia. Both received some degree of damage. This picture goes back to a mountain climbing trip I had in 2006 and shows a scene that everyone will want to get back to.

On this recent trip to California I took along four different cameras: Holga, Nikon FM2, Pentax 67, and pinhole. Of those I have posted my favorites of three of those cameras. So here is one of my favorite pinhole shots, this one taken at Mono Lake about 6 in the morning. Even though I am a morning person, awake and alert without the aid of even coffee, I very rarely get up for sunrise. For Mono Lake though we made an exception, setting our alarms for 5:30 and then racing down to the lake to catch the first light of the day. I broke out an old roll of Agfa Ultra 50 just for this particular trip. Ultra 50 was an insanely saturated color negative film that Agfa put out 8-10 years ago and this one roll had been sitting in my fridge waiting for the right day. Unfortunately I underexposed a majority of the roll that was taken the night before at sunset, but this shot from the next morning came out quite well as the rising sun lit up a nearby tufa formation.
Mono Lake really is a landscape from another world, and the history of the area is quite amazing too. The lake and its ecosystem were nearly destroyed when the city of Los Angeles began diverting water that normally fed into the lake, causing the water level to drop several feet every year. After a decade or two of this, the dropping water levels exposed these tufa formations, which were caused by fresh water springs in the lake bed bubbling up and leaving mineral deposits. Unfortunately the rapidly dropping water level also damaged the fragile ecosystem which supports hundreds of thousands of migratory birds. The island in the middle of the lake used to be a popular nesting grounds for thousands of gulls until the diminishing level of the lake opened a land bridge to the island allowing predators easy access to the baby birds. Fortunately some far thinking citizens, scientists, and activists fought to halt the damage, and now plans are in place to raise the level of the lake back up about 17 feet. Nonetheless, some of the damage done is still a long ways from being repaired. Odd how something so beautiful could not be seen and enjoyed without such an unfortunate series of events causing it. Still, the tufa formations at Mono Lake are sight to behold. If you go, please pay the three dollar park use fee. The lake is awfully deserted and it is very tempting to walk right by the fee collection box, but it really does help make a difference. Consider it a very cheap price for such wonderful memories.
Happy to have gotten Fearless Fi from my usual Netherlands store. Glad she arrived safely... She's from the big Stuntz set and I don't want anything except for the minifigure...
Bought the Star Lord minifigure, Korg for the headphones... assembled this minifigure that looks like Choi Si-won... Hahaha! :D
Some of the minifigs which arrived/ built recently.

2) Cracked torso girl (repaired)
3) Random wedding guy
4) Flower torso girl
5) Eleven
6) Jack Davids
Eleven and Jack Davids came from Germany, was happy it arrived safely. Lucky my colleague was in office so she could retrieve it from the mailbox. We are currently in lockdown so I'm not at office. :( So far the BL packages which arrived are mainly those with tracking. None of the untracked packages have arrived. :( I hope they will arrive safely...
Enviro500 38202 was repainted into Aberdeen colours earlier this month.

Our Daily Challenge: Recent Purchase, obviously since this little baby isn't even in stores yet, I haven't recently purchased it, but I haven't recently purchased much of anything else as I am dreaming, hoping, selling, saving in the hopes of getting my hands on one. Keep your fingers crossed for me.

Rebuilt another black Brick street customs car (the other one is in the workshop behind!) as I have the spare parts of the used stickered pieces. I guess having double cars is alright... :D
I would have missed this altogether but Margie had gone outside with our dog and she hollered back that I should bring a camera out. That's our old Aermotor windmill that's now just for looks. This is straight from the camera except for being reduced in size.
Repainted at end of 2019 but after a few weeks in service Enviro300 67799 has been parked up with a defect within the depot.
This view has changed completely during the three years since this photo was taken, the HST no longer a feature of EMR Services either. OHLE now covers this stretch of Railway and most of the surrounding vegetation lopped away in the process. The location is in the Langtons, a few miles north of Market Harborough and 43467 'Nottinghamshire Fire & Rescue Service' is the loco leading set NL01 and 43468 on the rear. It wasnt commonplace for the Angel owned HST powercars to be paired with a porterbrook set
Gate Guard & Skateboarder
The postman is back delivering normal mail... Haha, never been so happy to see the postman... :D I received another BL order so these are the recent minifigs built. The Exo-Force Gate Guard is a cool minifig...
In between other outfits, I had a few ensembles that were either quick changes or relatively unsuccessful looks where I chose not to do a photo-set. Enjoy the "rejects" :P.

Mostly modern stuff in this batch, but still some good ones here. The highlights:
The set of four chrome Grand Marquis (back row) were an unusual find...someone dumped them on the roadside, maybe because they were sick of hearing the ticking noises that those caps always make! All have curb scrapes and no center caps, and most of the plastic lug caps are missing, but I took them because they're uncommon and I don't have any. There are enough lug caps to make one complete one that can be sold, and I do have a center cap for it.
The new Jetta (rear left) is near mint. Two-tone RAV4 and Civic are also excellent. Both of those were quick stops on the highway, and I was skeptical that they would turn out to be good, so I was pleasantly surprised.
The bolt-on 17" Chrysler 300 is scratched but has good bolt holes, and is the only one I have. I find a fair amount of bolt-on Chryslers, but they almost always have broken bolt holes, so I rarely take one.
I've never had a SCHOOL BUS license plate before, so I took that one in spite of the poor condition. I'm not really into plates as much as some collectors, but I'll take them if they're nice or interesting
