OSR M420W 641 sits in storage at Johnson Controls Ltd in Tillsonburg, ON.
With news of these four locomotives recently being sold, along with discontinuation of the Cayuga Sub operations. I figured now would be a good time to share this throwback
A return to B7RLE repaints for the first time in around a year, 69357 now repainted into Aberdeen local livery having been unique in carrying Olympia livery but with the Platinum 19 branding around the destination area.
It returned to service following repaint on the 28th September and is seen here in Seaton on the 13 for Scatterburn.
Here was Arriva Buses Wales Optare Solo CX09 BGZ 696 was seen departing from Bangor bus station with a route 62 to Amlwch. This bus has now been freshly repainted with the appliance with new logos and vinyls. This bus was previously branded as Local Hero when it first had it's new standard livery. 14/03/19

La Certosa del Mombracco o Monte Bracco (o talora Monbracco), detta più recentemente Convento della Trappa, sulla sommità del Montebracco, ebbe una storia complessa e travagliata.
Attualmente il confine tra i comuni di Barge e di Envie passa tra gli edifici della Certosa, che appartiene in parte ad entrambi.
Su terre donate dai signori di Barge tra il 1253 – 1257 venne edificata la prima chiesa, dedicata a San Salvatore (ora ridotta a pochi resti in mezzo alla boscaglia) e affidata ai benedettini: Tra il 1257 e il 1274 Sinibaldo Fieschi di Bagnaria (la cui effigie è riprodotta nel medaglione dipinto situato sulla chiesa di Santa Maria), forse perchè la chiesa di San Salvatore era già in rovina, fondò un’altra chiesa sul Mombracco, dedicata alla Madonna e la donò alle monache certosine di Belmonte, ponendo fine alla dipendenza dai benedettini.
Nel 1277 vi fu una contesa fra le monache di Belmonte e l’abbazia cistercense di Staffarda per il possesso delle chiese. Nel 1282 i signori di Barge fecero una consistente donazione nelle mani di Pietro Torre, sacerdote rettore delle chiese di San Salvatore e di Santa Maria per l’Ordine Certosino. In tale occasione, alle monache di Belmonte subentrò il Capitolo Generale Certosino, ma nel 1303 la certosa passò sotto il controllo di quella femminile di Buonluogo, presso Bricherasio. Le due chiese furono sottoposte, nello stesso mese, prima all’abbazia di Staffarda e poi a quella di Casanova (Carmagnola), anch’essa cistercense. Nel 1304 una sentenza arbitrale sottopose le due chiese di San Salvatore e Santa Maria alla giurisdizione spirituale e temporale di Staffarda. Nel corso del XIV secolo vari membri della casata di Saluzzo vi si ritirarono, vi vennero sepolti e lasciarono beni alla certosa. Nel 1416 il marchese Tommaso III di Saluzzo dispose che sul Mombracco vi fossero tre chiese (San Salvatore, Santa Croce, Santa Maria).
Ancora controversie nel 1507, quando i canonici della Pieve di Santa Maria di Saluzzo reclamano il pagamento delle decime dovute al capitolo, che i monaci si rifiutano di versare. La peste del 1630 provocò l’abbandono del convento che, nel 1642, fu incorporato dalla Certosa di Collegno. Nel 1794 re Vittorio Amedeo III fece acquistare alcuni fabbricati dalla Certosa di Collegno per donarli ai Trappisti e nel 1794 un piccolo gruppo di frati Trappisti francesi, sfuggiti alla Rivoluzione, giunse a Mombracco, da qui il nome ”trappa”.
Nel 1801 Napoleone soppresse il monastero e, l’anno successivo, gli ultimi 5 frati trappisti rimasti furono costretti ad abbandonare Mombracco. Il complesso venne ceduto a privati ed adattato ad abitazioni contadine.

When I first started taking pics for posting I used a point and shoot digital camera with poor resolution. Since then I have upgraded my camera equipment. With lots of time on my hands due to Covid-19, I have culled through my early posts and replaced many of my early pics with similar shots of better quality. I tried to show a much larger variety of heels, many of which are making their first appearance. In fact, in the first 100 posts, 98 different pairs of heels are shown. There are two different pairs that appear in two different postings. If Covid-19 has you bored and wanting some mental stimulation, try to find the two duplicates in the first 100 posts. Some random minifigures which I built/ purchased recently... Toxikita was on my wanted list for awhile. I did have her before many years ago but then I sold her. Missed her so had to re-buy.
I bought one from a US seller last year but after payment, he told me that the shipping has no tracking. He refunded me and I was kinda disappointed. Here she is, one year later from another BL seller. Glad to have her again finally!

Two difficult racers to modify! Haha... the 2 x 3 engine front is quite a challenge. Did my best for these... although am not too happy with the driver seating so high up... but no choice. :(
A couple of weeks ago I met up for a jovial lunch with a few Flickr railway photographers for a natter, bite to eat and pint in Nottingham. Three of the gathering are seen here making their way down platform 6 at Nottingham.

With the recent lowering of Lake St. Lawrence immediately west of the Cornwall Dam in order to help drain high water levels in Lake Ontario, it was possible to visit some of the villages that were lost during the 1958 inundation following the construction of the Cornwall Dam.
In this photo I am standing where what used to be the Village of Aultsville. You can still see the pavement, sidewalks and a few artifacts when walking this site which is usually always underwater.
Many of the buildings were moved to higher ground in 1958 and new villages were formed, such as present day Long Sault.
Been a minute since I’ve shared on here. I’ve been busy workin on the railroad and don’t have a big slot to photograph anymore.
With all the unbranded E300 now repainted, the repairing program has moved to the Northern Lights branded examples now that their branding is out of date.

These very recent pics were however among the first interior shots I took with the Open Camera camera app, which (so far) I most definitely like better than my stock Samsung camera app. The Open Camera optional auto-levelling feature actually works surprisingly well, though I did straighten many of the photos ever so slightly to the right (less than 1 degree for most, in fact)! There's even an option to calibrate this levelling feature, which I may try for future photo forays. No one is more overly-picky about straight photos than I am it seems!
These pics also seem to have somewhat less tapering distortion (officially known as keystone distortion, I believe). It did seem to take a tiny bit longer for the camera to focus in some cases, but I did end up with a few less blurry photos on the whole. Highly recommended app if you don't like the stock app your phone (cough! Samsung cough!) is stuck with :P

Some of the minifigures which I bought/ assembled recently... Sorry for the lack of Lego photos lately... I'm feeling down and overwhelmed with adult responsibilities... :( Sometimes it's nice to be a kid and have your parents take care of everything... but alas time has passed...
Our Daily Challenge: Recent Purchase, obviously since this little baby isn't even in stores yet, I haven't recently purchased it, but I haven't recently purchased much of anything else as I am dreaming, hoping, selling, saving in the hopes of getting my hands on one. Keep your fingers crossed for me.
