do these really give heat?
when i get on a bus in winter, it's WARM. not so much with the trains. sometimes, i sit on this seat in the hopes of some heat.
Really awful weather conditions, got soaked but watching and photographing these beautiful birds made it truly worthwhile.
'Sally FIELD —"You like me, you really like me" speech at the Oscars is one of the awards night's most memorable moments.'
'In the words made famous by Sally FIELDS at the Oscars: "You like me. You really like me!"'
They might not agree upon the spelling of Sally's last name, but one place they seem unanimous, is recalling an event where she gushed the infamous line, "You like me. You really like me!" when she accepted the 1985 Oscar for "Places in the Heart".
smoked salmon on focaccia bread, with poached eggs (menu says with avocado, but they forgot!)oh, and a long black.
This was a sewing project. There's a layer of one of those metallic emergency blankets. I figure that's how those fancy self-heating cat beds are made, since they crinkle. But this one REALLY crinkles.
Really love the feel of Covent Garden tube station, has a retro feel to it. Made me wonder who left the empty cup and the half read paper.
[Taken in Paris (France) - 30Apr11]
Note : those people didn't really kiss, it is a mutli-exposure photo. They weren't there at the same time.
Some might even not know each other nor have met.

Day 199 of 365.
Day 49 of B&W.
I posted a link to this image earlier in the week on FB and I think it's apt, since I really do spend so much time "really doing" that.
Really tiny blossoms low in the grass along the trail this morning. Charlie has offered to ID it if I can show it to him. So pretty bedecked with dew.
And to be honest i can see why , I am a huge fan of this product , built well, decent chassis just well put together .Expressway wwere at the Space Centre with YN22YLG a Scania K320 / Mobipeople Explorer C74FL. Photo taken 29/11/23
Really tiny beetle, about 2mm in the leaf litter at Fox Corner. Very odd shape, and likes prone to feigning death and just being blown off the surface by the slightest breeze!
This is the second large boxcar Ive seen parked downtown in the last month. Not sure why they have been showing up here among the gondolas and reefers. Theres no industry around the area that deals with these types of cars. They are neat though.
First picture uploaded in a really long time. Something finally caught my attention enough to photograph.
Nicobar Pigeon... yes, it's really a pigeon that lives in Indonesia... I wish NYC pigeons looked so spectacular!
Really old photo. At the house we had in Shillong.
I've been feeling very uninspired of late. All my latest uploads are the photos I took six-seven months ago, and this one, a year ago. I'm NOT unable to come up with anything new. I've writer's block, I've reader's block, I even have music listener's block. I can't remember the last creative thing I did. In fact, my life nowadays is nothing but eating, sleeping and TV. I feel utterly useless and a waste of space & time.
Well, at least Calvin would be proud.
Not really a black-headed bird, more chocolate-brown - in fact, for much of the year, it has a white head. It is most definitely not a 'seagull' and is found commonly almost anywhere inland. Black-headed gulls are sociable, quarrelsome, noisy birds, usually seen in small groups or flocks, often gathering into larger parties where there is plenty of food, or when they are roosting.
I really loved the perspective here with the dry stone walls adding a nice depth to the scene. There is a gentleness here to the landscape as though it has reached a point of contentment.
Spring has really arrived in China. Flowers are blossoming everywhere, and this is a great time for photography.
I recently discovered Weinan has a photography club, I joined up and today was the first time going along to shoot with fellow members. It was good fun, and I got some good shots.
Mostly lit with a single reflector and natural light.
