Alpine Wyoming, located on the Wyoming/Idaho border is the best kept secret in snowmobiling destinations. We are known for our snowmobile-friendly attitude with all levels of ridding from the beginner to the most experienced rider. The valley floor sits at 5640 feet surrounded by mountains shooting straight up to elevations over 10,000 feet. You can ride from our front door to breakfast, lunch, dinner, or best of all right into the backcountry within minutes. Alpine has access to three National Forests with over 200 miles of groomed trails and ranked in the top 7 snowmobiling destinations.
Alpine has two trailheads to follow - the Greys River Trail and McCoy Creek Trail into Idaho. Trail maps are available.
SnoWest readers have ranked Alpine in the Top 10 trails in the West for years. Alpine boasts early and plentiful snow with a long snowy season which gives visitors a chance to plan more than one adventure per winter. Average snowfall is between 125-150in.
Alpine's awesone scenery, few crowds and acres of off-trail riding make you wonder why you haven't been here. see wildlife and spectacular scenery as you ride the trails or through the powder in the many hills and meadows. Take an evening ride and feel the solitude as you look down the mountain, without seeing a single city light. You feel as if you have the whole State to yourselves. There are plenty of chutes to brave and test the hill climbing prowess of the group.
Those who want to watch Wyoming's majestic wildlife can also visit the Alpine Feed Ground, operated by Wyoming Game & Fish, which draws more than 1,000 elk from December to April and is accessible right at the edge of town!

Fine piece of technology. MicroSD cards - it's amazing how much data fits on such a tiny card. This old reader lasted for two years, and would have lasted even longer but I was tempted to see what it looks like inside.
