Fear what lurks in it!
I apologise to all the arachnophobia sufferers out there. But don't worry, it's not like it's going to be crawling across your bed tonight or in your slipper when you get up in the morning, he's tucked up safe in my hall. FOR NOW!!! MWHAHAHAHAHA.
Shot in colour, then inverted in PP and colourised to red, reflection added manually using a layer flip and a bit of sneaky opacity and masking.
Lit using a Canon 580 EXii through a Rayflash Ringflash.
Looks "best" in large, although it very much depends on your definition of best......Press L anyway, you know you want to.

The Schleck Brothers
I was fortunate to be able to make a double portrait of Andy & Fränk.
I make it a priority to be able to work fast on these occasions, so I don't bore my 'models' with technical delays.
The whole session was over in less than 10 minutes and we had fun doing it.
This is 1 of 3 set-ups we were able to do.
More pics later.

Thanks to Cecil for letting me play with my rayflash on her photoshot and to Richard Gervais for letting us use his showroom as the location.
************************************************
As I am perusing like a child on Richard's vast display of Asian artificact, I came into a collection of framed B&W images of Central Cordillera people. Richard told me that it was a work of "Eduardo Masferre and ask me if I knew him. I replied "no" and promise to ask Mr. Google when I get home. I felt shame upon learning who Eduardo Masferre is, for he is considered to as the father of Philippine photography, I know Ansel Adams, Yosef Karsh, Eugene Smith, HC Bresson, Helmut Newton, etc... but of my own roots I did not. Shame on me.

1 Sun behind from Rim!
I've had some not so bright ideas in the past, but covering my entire head in duct tape is probably right up there with the best(worst of them). Breathing through this stuff is next to impossible, a fact I discovered only after covering my mouth and nose in it, a speedy run to the knife drawer was required. It's also VERY itchy and irritating on the skin once its on and also VERY sweaty. I'll not even mention getting it unwrapped from my head, I'll just consider myself fortunate that I still have eyebrows.
Inspired by the weird world of Scott MacBride, go check his stream here, it's well worth a look!

Who needs a FourSquare, if he can have a SIXSQUARE ?!
+ build in one hour for under 50 bucks
+ use the ability to shoot through the hole (= ringflash) or not (= soft large light)
+ more powerful than a Four Square
+ much, much more powerful than Orbis or Rayflash
It only takes 35 bucks for the parts and 1..2 hours work.

TRIGGERING
As this is a ringlight and normally it is used in a way that makes the background nicely visible, you will have some sort of reflective surface right in front of the flashes.
So I use it in a way, that I trigger *one* flashgun via one YN-602 RF module, and the other five are just running as optical slaves ...
---
LESSONS LEARNED
- use a fire extinguisher as template to bend the rod :-)
- use Loctite Screwlock on all the screws, once it is all in place and fits nicely
- use a longer 1/4'' screw for the base, one made out of steel
- tighten the screws in the little coldshoes **really, reallyl ** well
