Just me, myself, and I.
I drove my new jeep wrangler for 2 hours in pouring rain today to get back to my house. (I have been at my beach house the past few days). I haven't had any inspiration lately so I decided to just take some random selfies in my bedroom. And with some random editing, and a little chit chat with my friend allison, I made this.

Sunset brings out the spectacular colors of McDaniel's Marsh near Grantham, NH. I was eaten alive by mosquitos during this exposure.
Two students in Ms. Horton's sixth period class work together to carefully remove the skin and muscles of the raw chicken leg. Human anatomy and physiology class at HeLa High School, on December 5, 2014.
these are unedited raw shots, but it was too cool to wait to post.
unfortunately, i forgot to lock the exposure, so it's going to be quite an undertaking to adjust the "flickr", so i'll be cleaning this up for a while.
stay tuned (but if you know me, that means some time next year)
Original painted label from Japanese silk producers found on shipments of raw silk sent to the Throwing Mill.
Two words from the Simon Armitage poem "Rain". Carved on gritstone rocks (one of several Stanza Stones in the South Pennines) on the Pennine Way near Blackstone Edge. The sky was certainly raw today, as was the wind - but thankfully no rain.
I shot this today in the late afternoon while on a visit to Kansas City. This was made from a WWI memorial on a hill above. I chose this image for this week's topic for two reasons: the color of the dry grass reflects the intense heat we have been experiencing throughout the country; and because of the city's preparation for the MLB All-Star Game (sign in the grass), the midpoint of summer baseball. (I know the horizon's at 50/50, but I HAD to leave the clouds in!)
There once was a perky young flower
who just loved every fine April shower
'cos now every petal
is in much finer fettle
everyone can feel a surge of green power!
