no make-up being the "Raw" in this case.
summer for me means, no make-up !
and lucky for me, my skin has been clearing up quite nicely this summer !
I had plans with an old friend for today, but they got cancelled because of all the rain we were getting.
so, did some selfie's indoors today.
I can't help but smile at the fact that my hair is getting long :3
makes me happy.

Front line at the parade. We got there at 6:30 am and braved the cold 30 degree temps. It was not so bad once the sun came out but it was brutal standing on the cold cement sidewalk that seemed to penetrate the soles of my fleece lined boots & numb my feet. Though I dreaded going to the parade (friends from Hawai'i who had never been to the east coast & wanted to experience NY & everything it had to offer) I am so glad we did it. The crowd was great & the girls in front of us gave us their seats since they were sitting at the curb on blankets, police were doling out treats, clowns showered us with confetti & the balloons seemed enormous. (they were flying low due to high winds so that helped give us a rare opportunity to see them close up) Times spent with friends made for a memorable event.
Have a great holiday everyone and take time to really enjoy it with your friends & family.
Goodbye, 90s. This redo involved removing a wooden deck, built in the early 90s, and the large willow tree beside it.
End of the first day's work. The deck is gone. Yellow clay will be brought in and spread, to bring the grade below the new deck up to where it should be.

I really love the band.. was round wire that I forged square and then twisted. Worked out well and was easy peasy!
Liz and I ventured to Kennedy Space Center for our nerdy Valentine's day date. Cool, huh? We wanted to be different.
This is a Saturn V rocket. Or as some call it a 'moon rocket.' I wish I'd had the foresight to bring a wide angle lens. Next time. Until then these are pieces of a Saturn V rocket.
