Part of a one-minute, no-soldering project: turning chips into chip bugs. Read more here.

Sterling silver, aquamarine, pearl. Fabricated.

Lessons Learned:

• Yes Virginia - silver *is* so much easier to solder with!!

• I think all the rings so far have been made to fit me (is that so wrong?). I need to make shanks in other sizes if I want to sell them.

• I love the dark patina with the blue aqua.

• Wondering if I'd have liked the setting better if the pearl had had it's own separate disk instead of being part of the aqua's backing plate.

• I like being able to make a ring in an hour!

• I really DO need to figure out how to get these little shanks to stand up without putty. No, not photoshop. Maybe I need to go back to propage.

Goodbye, 90s. This redo involved removing this wooden deck, built in the early 90s, and the large tree beside it.

Partway through the first day's work. The deck is being removed and most of the skirting has now been taken off. The large tree in the background will be coming down after the deck is gone.

I love a rainy day! But not when I want to take pictures. :\ Don't know why the porcelain looks so green.

The shank and bezel base were fabricated from a scrap piece of metal clay that was textured and fired flat. FS bezel wire, hand made porcelain cabochon.

Lesson's Learned:

• Cutting tabs with a cut off wheel is not as easy as Andy Cooperman made it look. I probably bought the wrong tool.

• I like the look of tabs!

• Practicing soldering skills using discarded scrap is a good idea, until you

make something you wish were sturdier.

• It's all fun and games until you do something you knew you shouldn't have done in the first place.

• Metal clay that is 3 cards/22g thick does NOT a ring shank make.

• I think it's time I bought some stock.

• Playing with porcelain is fun!

• Bisque fired porcelain gets very dirty if you don't wash your hands after patinating the silver.

Raw Chocolate Fudge

1 cup organic raw cocoa powder

1 cup melted organic raw cacao butter

1/2 cup raw honey

handful of chopped organic dried fruit of choice, if desired

1-2 tablespoons organic nut butter of choice (I used almond)

1-3 teaspoons superfood or tonic herbal powders of choice (I used blue/green algae and Maca powder)

1 teaspoon vanilla bean powder (I didn't have any so I used the seeds from one vanilla bean)

1 teaspoon organic raw lucuma powder

pinch of sea salt

In a blender/processor, blend all ingredients together on high except the honey, until the dried fruit (if using) is mixed well. Turn the blender on lowest setting, take the lid off and pour the raw honey into the mix moving quickly. Blen for just a few seconds, turn the blender off and pour into molds. Chill in refrigerator for several hours or overnight and serve chilled. Fudge keeps well at room temperature.

If you take a raw food and process it to the point it looks nothing like the original form, does it make it more appealing and appetizing for you?

One of a series of images shot for a project involving food groups. These are all shot at the Whole Foods Market off Tatum at Shea. All the meat images are shot through the glass, so I was surprised they turned out so well. Just think of the possibilities for these images as backgrounds or perhaps a mosaic.

WWE Monday Night RAW live broadcast at the Target Center in Minneapolis, MN on January 11th, 2010. The guest host for the evening was Mike Tyson.

This was an experiment. Normally a raw birthday cake would have a lot of nuts in it, to make it creamy and yummy, but I wanted to make this so Joe could have a piece, too. So, the concoction consists of...

Crust: soaked buckwheat groats blended with soaked pumpkin seeds and agave nectar.

Filling: Soaked dried apricots, figs, raisins and pumpkin seeds, blended with the rest of the buckwheat groats. I layered the filling with slices of banana.

Topping: Raw cacao nibs, coconut and hemp seeds, mixed with agave nectar.

Chilled the whole thing overnight. Everyone seemed to like it!
