Always a sign of summer when you hear the song of the skylark.

Time of the yellow field full of rapeseed are over but some stand their ground.

Seeing the colours of the trees and the yellow. i had to stop the car and have a nice walk with the camera!

Rapeseed

Rape mustard , in dutch Raapzaad and english Rape mustard or rapeseed , is a yellow flower and belongs to the mustard family.

The flowers grow just about everywhere near the water shores in spring time. It's nice to see the yellow colours at sunrise or sunset time , they make the season even more enjoyable then it already is.

It's a flower that attracts many butterlies ans simple photographers like me.

Rapeseed is an economically important crop, the seeds of which are mainly used to produce rapeseed oil.

Depending on the weather, the flowering time of a specimen is around three to five weeks, but a single flower has already faded after one to two days. In 2019, 70,510,703 t of rapeseed were harvested worldwide.

Its that time of year in the Cotswolds, England when almost every field for miles around is a sea of yellow rapeseed.
