Rape has appeared in fields as well as bluebells in the woods. Everything seems to be out of syn this year My poppies and irises haven't appeared yet.

Legitimate Rape Grannies rake Rep. Todd Akin over coals

683,000 forcible rapes occur every year, which equals 56,916 per month, 1,871 per day, 78 per hour, and 1.3 per minute.

Having spied this place (many times) during the course of the working week finally decided to go and have a look… it was an easy hop over the fence and a breeze to walk into….but what a disappointment ! the place has been raped ! well and truly raped…every bit of cable gone, all the pipework removed. It was just a shell!

Forget my tripod also so ramped up the ISO for some handheld shots…processed the pics to make them look vaguely interesting!

Clearly the neighbours were asleep as this place is overlooked by loads of housing and no-one batted an eyelid when we vaulted back over the fence on the way out…

Oilseed Rape in full flower

Hooton Levitt just as the sun was setting: I had noticed the field from the main road below, decided to take a stroll up there, very pretty with the rape seed in full bloom

Taken at the feild at the back of a mates house. He also got the Nikkor f1.8 lens for his D90 too.

Went round yesterday to try out mine and his DSLR although the weather got bad and so quickly abandonded the idea.

Essay: “Ann Coulter Trivializes Rape” at wp.me/p4jHFp-3M.

Ann Coulter’s lead paragraph in her latest polemic would be hilarious if it weren’t so Coulteresque.

“Sorry this column is late. I got raped again on the way home. Twice. I should clarify – by ‘raped,’ I mean that two seductive Barry White songs came on the radio, which, according to the University of Virginia, constitutes rape.”

If anyone else had written that, one could say it beautifully encapsulates the folly of redefining terms to the point where they cease to have meaning. Like Rush Limbaugh, Coulter is using absurdity to illustrate the absurd. But Coulter has no credibility on this issue to make that point.

Coulter blithely speaks of raping the planet as our God-given duty, and, just this year, made numerous accusations of rape. Indeed, Coulter claimed that she was being raped.

I sneaked a picture of this 360 degree beauty in the galleria dell' academia.

Esk Valley Line, from Middlesborough to Whitby. As the train leant into curves often there was only the bright yellow of the oilseed rape fields to be seen, which contrasted perfectly with the blue of the train livery.
