A South Eastern class 375/3 Electrostar stands at Ramsgate in the new house colours which is being carried out at Derby Litchurch Lane. The bold stripes highlight the First class and Disabled areas. It was nice to get some shelter from the rain after being out in the open at Minster.

Ramsgate, Kent.

I'm having loads of problems with Flickr at the moment. I can’t access my resent activity or view the home page for large portions of the day. I've tried on multiple computers and devises and multiple browsers. But all I get is that panda showing up. I might be absent for a few days while things get sorted out.

Ramsgate Harbour.

I moved round to the life-boat station as the bird was heading in that direction but as soon as I arrived a (Border force?) boat came out and flushed the diver. It flew out the harbour but circled back and appeared to land in the old ferry terminal side of the harbour

The green in the foreground used to be an old pitch and putt course you can still see the bumps in the grass today. The tree is near the cliff edge and looks over Pegwell Bay (the tide is out), on the other side of the bay can be seen a small wind turbine (which I have never seen work) and was there when the cooling towers of Richborough power station were in operation, the site is still active as the power generated by the wind farms (behind my left shoulder) is carried by cable under the sea across the bay to a new facility and onwards by pylons to keep the lights on in Canterbury!

Better viewed large Please.

MY THANKS FOR ALL VISITS AND COMMENTS IT IS APPRECIATED

Ramsgate Harbour.

This bird is either too close (and I can't get it all in shot) or too distant for decent detail. At least it was still there.(13)

A recent visit to Ramsgate allowed an evening visit to the harbour. Some of the boats had their Christmas lights on. I must try and get back when there are more lights. The rest of the evening can be seen at - davebowles.smugmug.com/Places-home-and-abroad/Great-Brita...

This is an HDR from 3 hand-held bracketed shots of the western end of the harbour.

Ramsgate Harbour.

These breed at Kingsdown but the Kingsdown birds are near impossible to get near. Why are rock pipits on Thanet so confiding?
