Ramsgate. Got there just as the fishing boats were coming in and gutting their catch. As a consequence the bird was out by the boats most of the time. It did come close for a couple of minutes but was often too close and I couldn't get the whole bird in frame.

The diver was preening and a certain Mr Ashton suggested it would have a flap at the end of it's preening...so I was ready when it obliged.
