On 31 July 2021, 50007 and 50049 top and tail 1Z33 "Thanet Thunderer" tour from Margate to East Midlands Parkway past Ramsgate.
Ramsgate has a lift on the cliff, this is the view from the top platform. Perhaps not so pleasant in the days of coal fires.
The superb frontage of the Queen's Head, Harbour Parade, Ramsgate, Kent, 5 September 2020. Built 1908. Note the yellow, blue and green glazed terracotta tiles.

Seen at Victoria Coach Station in April 1986 was East Kent Leyland Leopard / Duple Dominant II 8810 VJG810T.
The coach, which features alternating rows of blue and orange seats, is destined for Ramsgate.

Not the most picturesque of scenes. But Ramsgate Tunnels are steeped in history and are now a major tourist attraction. What started off as a railway tunnel in Victoria times developed in to a complex labyrinth of tunnels that played a major role during World War Two.

The lifeboat station at Ramsgate was first established in 1802, making it one of the oldest in the British Isles.
Ramsgate's all-weather Tamar Class boat 16-23 "Diamond Jubilee" is moored alongside Shannon Class 13-38 "Judith Copping Joyce" and another Tamar 16-13 "Victor Freeman".

The sun was shining so it seemed the obvious place to go - quite a few others had the same idea!.
I didn't have long with the bird and most of the time it never came closer than 30-40 yards.
