Our friend in NY raking hay with our tractor and his double rake setup. He let rake the rest of the field.
Was cool watching the sky yesterday evening. The cloud formations stayed the same but the colors of the sky changed.
Raker maintenance is complete & it's being outfitted with top & bottom cameras for launch observation duty tomorrow
Yep, the sun is shining and it's 90-plus degrees out there - just PERFECT for making hay.
Here, my husband is raking the cut hay, which has been drying for two days. after lunch, he will hook up the baler and the wagon, shown here, and bale it. I get to drive our big blue Ford tractor, not shown.
No digging today. After doing this, I walked around the neighborhood. I have other things to do tomorrow and wednesday, but I'm gonna tack a mini-exploration onto wednesday's rounds, so I'll have some new pictures then.
A project to establish a memorial meadow for Fran which will be a lasting legacy for the benefit of wildlife and education. The meadow is about 90 x 45 metres and is located at Preston Montford Field Studies Centre, Shropshire, SY4 1DX
At Devils Backbone: the rakes inside the 10-hectoliter lauter vessel will separate the sugary liquid (called wort) from the spent barley malt mash. The wort will be boiled with hops added.

The Brew Ridge Trail meanders through Virginia's scenic Nelson and Albemarle Counties.
On a chilly, dank December afternoon, we toured two of the breweries along that trail: Devils Backbone (brewpub) in Roseland and Blue Mountain (brewery with a tap room) in Afton, both on VA route 151. We were welcomed by good beer, good food, and fine folk.
