After a very heavy work :-)) in the garden I put the rake in this position in a heap of earth. While resting under a tree in the shadow I thougt this could be a nice photo. So I took my camera ( what a pitty that it is only a digitals camera and no mirror reflex camera, my donations account is... :-)) )
and took a photo of the futuristic rake.
This voyage to the family farm for a planting day was my escape from the city. I don't have an area where I can just sit outside and soak up the sun so the ability to be outside and soaking up the good vitamin D along with getting my hands dirty became my motivation to venture on down and help out my family. I created this timelapse in order for my family to post to their farming instagram. There is still more planting to do and I am eager to help out again once things turn around and my presence on the farm no longer poses a threat to my family’s health. I want to absorb all the knowledge about gardening and farming with my family so that I can take it with me in my dreams to start my own citrus orchard. But for now I am just trying to help out as much as I can because helping them also helps me in my escape from my super urban environment.

This rake will probably remain in this position, but who knows when I will try to tackle the back yard task.
3 exposure hdr to not lose the detail in either the shadows or the light.
An old, abandoned hay rake, looks kind of like it's been trying to help with my shelter-in-place hair.
I was out raking leaves today and it occurred to me that I haven’t seen anyone using a rake in years. While I whooshed leaves with my rake, all around me I heard that annoying leaf blower sound. I really appreciate the quietness of raking.

linda from independence, steve and i from barstow made a trip to renee fox's memorial today.
since i was there a few weeks ago someone had done a great job rebuilding the lining of the path and organizing stuff. they did all the heavy lifting. and i think added some really pretty flowers. yay!
we cleaned out some more little plastic-y stuff that was broken, put 2 solar lights in place plus this very cool thing - a mason bottle you fill up with sparkly or clear stuff. the bottle glows different colours at night - another solar device. i raked and extended more path and cleared a new spot - have no idea why. it was just peaceful raking rocks.
i guess more things can be put there? maybe a concrete bench. ok, that might be a bit much.
steve and linda got rid of the big ugly plastic pot thing.
linda decorated the christmas tree! a bit late in the season, but heck, it can be christmas all year. she wired all the ornaments on so they shouldn't blow off. it would take a monster wind to blow the chains off.
steve planted a cactus that with any luck will take hold and bloom. beavertail cactus have the most gorgeous pink flowers.
after we took pictures we blackened the lettering on the sign.
i think that is it. oh, we put a big cup with a stuffed dog for valentines day. the memorial looks in great shape!
i wish i could see it at night.
PS. stopped for dinner at the still life cafe in independence. got out of the car was attacked by bees. i was stung three times. good thing steve was there because bees make me hysterical. and he took the stingers out.
went into the restaurant, but the smell of cigarettes was gross so we left. smells like someone is smoking in the back room!
