made for my friend on Adobe photoshop cs4

This card was inspired by Jennifer McGuire on Day 1 of Spring Card Camp. I ink blended a rainbow background of Oxides. I went a little darker than I usually would in order to make the lifting technique work. I stamped and embossed the rainbow background stamp from TE. Then I used water on a paintbrush to lift the color from inside the rainbow. I finished it with an old sentiment from Verve stamps. The SSS Monday Challenge is "Up in the Air." Rainbows are up in the air, right? :)

A little Lego, a little hot dog stand and a rainbow background.

I think this plate would seem a lot edgier if it weren't for the rainbow background.

1. This element is color because of the rainbow in the background.

2. The main subject is the Richview 55 Jersey.

3. The most successful part is how the reflection of the caff in the frame. I like how it looks.

4. I could improver this image by getting more of the rainbow background.

The rainbow background (Shimelle stamp) was stamped with Versamark, then with a tiny spoon I sprinkled different colors of Zing embossing powder on it and heated it. You have to work quickly as the ink will dry before you can get all the colors on. The Mama Elephant characters are colored with copic markers. and the sentiment was heat embossed with white Stampenous powder. And it is hard to see, but the banner behind the image is actually a sparkly, glittery, silver.

This card is based on the Wednesday Sketch Challenge 236 at MFT Card Challenges (www.cardchallenges.com/) and the sentiment is a My Favorite Things stamp.

This card is also entered in the "Furry Friends" Wednesday challenge at Simon Says Stamp (www.simonsaysstampblog.com/)

I also entered the "Feeling Sentimental" challenge (SPD17) at Sugar Pea Designs (sugarpeadesigns.com/blog/)

I had great fun today using a die by Spellbinders for the first time, and making a rainbow background with a stamp by W&W ( Comfort and Joy) . The dotted circle is part of a holiday wreath set, so I thought outside the box and used it to make this rainbow colored background. The tree die by Spellbinders (Tree S3-227) was die cut and embossed, then left in the die while I used sponge daubers to color it in rainbow colors as well. The sentiment is by My Favorite Things, the clouds are by Paper Smooches and the grass is by Pebbles Inc.

I love color and this card is bursting with it!

I used Winnie & Walter's "hello" from their The Big, The Bold and The Happy Cutaway set. The rainbow background panel was a leftover from a previous card and I layered up all the leaves.
