When I saw the TE Toffee + Rainbow challenge, I went rather literal. I stamped the rainbow background stamp from the last Stamp Joy class in white pigment ink. I used an assortment of rainbow ink colors to fill in the rainbows rather randomly with the coordinating clear stamps. I finished it with a sentiment from Counting Candles Add on set.

The SSS MOnday Challenge is Stamp It, so I'm linking there. You can't see it in the picture, but I added some Wink of Stella to the rainbows, so I'm also entering SSS Wednesday Challenge - Sparkle and Shine.

I think this plate would seem a lot edgier if it weren't for the rainbow background.

1. This element is color because of the rainbow in the background.

2. The main subject is the Richview 55 Jersey.

3. The most successful part is how the reflection of the caff in the frame. I like how it looks.

4. I could improver this image by getting more of the rainbow background.

I had great fun today using a die by Spellbinders for the first time, and making a rainbow background with a stamp by W&W ( Comfort and Joy) . The dotted circle is part of a holiday wreath set, so I thought outside the box and used it to make this rainbow colored background. The tree die by Spellbinders (Tree S3-227) was die cut and embossed, then left in the die while I used sponge daubers to color it in rainbow colors as well. The sentiment is by My Favorite Things, the clouds are by Paper Smooches and the grass is by Pebbles Inc.

I love color and this card is bursting with it!

I used Winnie & Walter's "hello" from their The Big, The Bold and The Happy Cutaway set. The rainbow background panel was a leftover from a previous card and I layered up all the leaves.

This card is entered in:

the World Cardmaking Day Lovely Layers Challenge at Winnie & Walter (www.blog.winniewalter.com/2017/10/wcmd-2017-lovely-layers...)

Fairground attraction with rainbow background

couldnt resist making a rainbow background.. so i did :D

This photo captured a penny board gliding against a rainbow colored flooring. I set the camera to shutter priority mode, and to achieve this blurred background affect, I set the shutter speed to 1/10s. To accommodate for the slow shutter speed, the camera adjusted to a high aperture and a low ISO. To execute the photo, I had my sister push the pennyboard, while I panned by camera at the same pace of the pennyboard and took the photo. This definitely took many tries, and after many tries, I finished with a picture where most of this pennyboard was clear, but the lighting was off. So, in post processing, I fixed the lighting by lowering the exposure, and then adding vibrancy to compliment the rainbow background and clarity to enhance the effect of the focus on the pennyboard. In addition, I used the brush tool to add extra clarity around the skateboard, since that was my main subject that I wanted to be super sharp.

I inked up several variations of the Pinkfresh Studio Nested Chevron while it had it set up in my MISTI. The fact that you can ink each chevron in a different color totally screamed for a rainbow background! The Pinkfresh Studio challenge this month is Rainbow, so it was perfect. (www.pinkfreshstudio.com/blogs/card-making-challenges/sept...) I trimmed the panel down and mounted it on a dark gray cardstock to give is a small frame (SSS Monday Challenge - Frame It). And then I kept the rest simple with just a large hello die. Let the chevrons shine!

I work with kids, and I love how so many go through the phase when you ask them their favorite color, they say "rainbow." It may be a little bit of a cheat... but seriously, things in rainbow order makes me happy. Inks, markers, paper. Some of my favorite things in my craftroom are pretty just because of their order and organization. The theme at D2B Artzy this month (blog.dare2bartzy.com/tag/challenge/) is favorite color. And I'm going to say it - next to teal/turquoise, my favorite color is rainbow! So I'm also entering this over there :)
