A variation on the jacket from my Barbie Suit pattern, the skirt from my Barbie tennis outfit and the simple beret found in the High Collar Coat pattern, and in Six Hats. Making these 3 pieces in matching yarn give this outfit a vintage feel. So pretty!

February 12, 2011. A balloon, the former Tower Automotive building, and the CN Tower, looking east from the West Toronto Railpath.
This balloon graffiti has been showing up all over our 'hood, especially along the Railpath, and apparently all over the city. This plot of land has undergone many changes over the last couple of years, and it will be interesting to see what it gets re-developed into.

December 14, 2010, on the railway bridge above Dupont St. at Dundas St. West. During the next few days after this photo was taken, a new bridge was constructed between the bridge I'm standing on and the West Toronto Railpath (the orange bridge on the left). This is all part of the railway expansion project for GO Transit's Georgetown line and the Airport Rail Link. In the background is the Planet Storage building, formerly Viceroy Rubber.

July 1, 2014. I took this picture while standing on the West Toronto Railpath. The tower is part of the Crossways, a residential-shopping complex at Bloor and Dundas. The metal frame in the foreground is for a lightbox that will be part of the Bloor-Dundas mobility hub that will connect the TTC's Dundas West subway station with the Bloor stop on GO's Georgetown line. The construction of the hub is part of Metrolinx's Georgetown South Project that will include a new track and a platform for the Union-Pearson airport express. The expansion has been controversial among local residents who wanted Metrolinx to electrify the corridor immediately. Metrolinx promises to use electric trains in the future, but for now will continue to use diesel.
