A small parkette will be created at each street connection between Dupont and Bloor West. These neighbourhood places will interconnect community, sidewalks, street and trail. The white trunks of aspens and identifying signage provide an inviting view at the street ends, announcing the trail to the City.

Planting palette: Trembling Aspen, Little Bluestem grass, New Jersey Tea, Virginia Creeper vine

Signage: oxidized steel and galvanized steel

GEWN (street artist sticker)

The trail south if Bloor West winds through a mix of open and shady areas among John Dickson’s artwork, “Frontier” (not shown). The naturalized planting of primarily white and silver foliage provide a unique identity to the trail between Bloor and Dundas West.

Planting palette: Red and silver maples, red oak and cottonwoods; a specimen burr oak with a mix of white native wildflowers and grasses.

Multi-use trail width: 3500mm wide asphalt with a 600mm wide granular shoulder each side.

Apart from a small tag "VRIL", near the top left of the mural, nothing has changed since I first photographed this nearly one year prior, in March of 2016.
