Pinus contorta, with the common names lodgepole pine and shore pine, and also known as twisted pine, and contorta pine, is a common tree in western North America. It is common near the ocean shore and in dry montane forests to the subalpine, but is rare in lowland rain forests. Like all pines (member species of the genus Pinus), it is an evergreen conifer.

Legacy Tower (formerly Bausch & Lomb Place) is a skyscraper located in Rochester, New York. It is the second tallest building in Rochester, standing at 401 feet (122 meters) with 20 floors. It was constructed to be the world headquarters for the eye-care company Bausch & Lomb. After Bausch & Lomb left in 2014, the tower was sold to three local developers.

A banana is an edible fruit, botanically a berry, produced by several kinds of large herbaceous flowering plants in the genus Musa. (In some countries, bananas used for cooking may be called plantains.) The fruit is variable in size, color and firmness, but is usually elongated and curved, with soft flesh rich in starch covered with a rind which may be green, yellow, red, purple, or brown when ripe. The fruits grow in clusters hanging from the top of the plant. Almost all modern edible parthenocarpic (seedless) bananas come from two wild species – Musa acuminata and Musa balbisiana.

With a history of human use of over 7,000 years, garlic is native to central Asia, and has long been a staple in the Mediterranean region, as well as a frequent seasoning in Asia, Africa, and Europe. It was known to Ancient Egyptians, and has been used for both culinary and medicinal purposes.

Kodak Tower is a 19 story skyscraper located in the High Falls District of Rochester, New York. at the Eastman Kodak Headquarters complex. It has a roof height of 340 ft and stands a total of 366 ft with its antenna spire included. It stood as Rochester, NY’s tallest building for over 50 years from its completion in 1914 until the Xerox Square Tower surpassed it in the late 1960s. It is currently the 4th tallest building in Rochester, NY and is the 9th tallest building in New York State outside of NYC.

Back when various therapies were based more in conjecture and spiritual beliefs than true scientific facts, Clifton Springs drew in thousands of visitors over the years for the healing properties the springs provided.

One East Avenue, built in 1962, was originally constructed for the Security Trust Company. This striking example of 1960s architecture consists of a two-story glass-enclosed public banking facility, an adjoining 11-story tower, and an outdoor plaza. The public banking facility is notable for its imaginative roofline, glass walls, and Rochester artist John Menihan’s 130-foot-long mural, a symbolic tribute to the diversification of Monroe County’s economy. The Tower building, resting on stilts, is notable for its band of quartz aggregate and gray-tinted glass. The regional administrative offices of Bank of America occupy roughly half the building, including a branch and ATM on the ground floor.

Powers Building is a historic office building located at Rochester in Monroe County, New York. It was built in 1869 and is a nine story, 165-by-171-foot (50 by 52 m) building, laid out around a large open stairwell in the center. It features a triple mansard roof and observation tower which were added after initial construction, between 1873 to 1888, by Daniel Powers to maintain its standing as the tallest building in Rochester. It was designed by noted Rochester architect Andrew Jackson Warner.

The avocado (Persea americana) is a tree native to Mexico and Central America, classified in the flowering plant family Lauraceae along with cinnamon, camphor and bay laurel. Avocado or alligator pear also refers to the fruit, botanically a large berry that contains a single seed.
Avocados are commercially valuable and are cultivated in tropical and Mediterranean climates throughout the world. They have a green-skinned, fleshy body that may be pear-shaped, egg-shaped, or spherical. Commercially, they ripen after harvesting. Trees are partially self-pollinating and often are propagated through grafting to maintain a predictable quality and quantity of the fruit.

The Eastman Theatre is the main building of the Eastman School of Music of the University of Rochester, located in downtown Rochester, New York.
The theater was established by industrialist George Eastman and opened on September 4, 1922, as a center for music, dance, and silent film, with orchestral and organ accompaniment.
The theatre is the primary hall for the Eastman School's larger ensembles, including its orchestras, wind ensembles, jazz ensembles, and chorale. It originally contained 3,094 seats, but was substantially revised in 2009 to become a 2,260-seat concert hall with state-of-the-art acoustics optimized for symphonic, popular and chamber music performances.
The theater is the principal performance venue for the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Eastman Opera Theatre presents fully staged operatic productions each spring.
