Girly R2D2 birthday cake for my Star Wars-loving daughter!
Blogged here: bluemilkandcookies.blogspot.com
What you need to do this:
1. Vintage R2D2 cake pan from ebay. Bonne chance. Ours was Empire Strikes Back themed from the 80s.
2. A lot of cake mix.
3. More icing than you know what to do with.
4. The better part of a Saturday
5. Do yourself a favour: get the star tip cake decorating tool with three stars.
6. Butter icing melts. Have back up bags of cold icing or go with shortening.
7. Maraschino cherries. You will buy an entire jar so you can use three cherries. Find a friend who likes maraschino cherries and give them the rest.
You may not think of the iconic droids as costumes, but some of them were, even R2D2. Much of the time he was a remote-controlled bot, but some of the time, there was a small actor inside.

I used this pattern for it:

R2D2 mail box....USPS promotion for Star Wars....these R2D2 mailboxes are popping up at surprise locations around the country.
spotted at Bayard Street, New York, NY
While R2D2 might be the Jedi Master of DC Postal Delivery, I still say Yoda is the badass of Star Wars.

El arturito de los celulares en su época. Un móvil avanzado en ese tiempo que ahora es prácticamente obsoleto pero sentó bases a los que son los dispositivos moviles hoy en día
