Several pairs of Summer Tanagers popped up briefly at the blinds at South Llano River State Park. This female gave me a questioning look before both of us departed: me for home and her for greener pastures.

Deberíais saber que, como mínimo, los que creen en Dios deben ser humildes y reverenciales. Los que han oído la verdad pero la miran con desdén son insensatos e ignorantes. Los que han oído la verdad, pero sacan conclusiones precipitadas o la condenan a la ligera, están asediados por la arrogancia. Nadie que crea en Jesús es apto para maldecir o condenar a otros. Deberíais ser todos racionales y aceptar la verdad. Quizás, habiendo oído el camino de la verdad y leído la palabra de vida, creas que sólo una de cada 10.000 de estas palabras está en sintonía con tus convicciones y con la Biblia, y entonces deberías seguir buscando en esa diezmilésima parte de esas palabras. Sigo aconsejándote que seas humilde, no te confíes demasiado y no te exaltes mucho. Con esta exigua reverencia por Dios en tu corazón, obtendrás mayor luz. Si examinas detenidamente y contemplas repetidamente estas palabras, entenderás si son o no la verdad, y si son o no la vida. Quizás, habiendo leído sólo unas pocas frases, algunas personas condenarán ciegamente estas palabras, diciendo: ‘Esto no es nada más que algún esclarecimiento del Espíritu Santo’, o ‘Este es un falso Cristo que ha venido a engañar a la gente’. ¡Los que dicen tales cosas están cegados por la ignorancia! ¡Entiendes demasiado poco de la obra y de la sabiduría de Dios, y te aconsejo que empieces de nuevo desde cero! No debéis condenar ciegamente las palabras expresadas por Dios debido a la aparición de falsos Cristos durante los últimos días ni ser personas que blasfeman contra el Espíritu Santo, porque teméis al engaño. ¿No sería esto una gran lástima? Si, después de mucho examen, sigues creyendo que estas palabras no son la verdad, no son el camino ni la expresión de Dios, entonces serás castigado en última instancia y te quedarás sin bendiciones. Si no puedes aceptar esa verdad hablada de forma tan llana y clara, ¿no eres indigno entonces de la salvación de Dios? ¿No eres alguien sin la fortuna suficiente como para regresar ante el trono de Dios? ¡Piensa en ello! No seas imprudente e impetuoso, y no trates la creencia en Dios como un juego. Piensa en el bien de tu destino, en el bien de tus perspectivas, en el bien de tu vida, y no juegues contigo mismo. ¿Puedes aceptar estas palabras?” (“En el momento que contemples el cuerpo espiritual de Jesús, Dios ya habrá vuelto a crear el cielo y la tierra”)."

A quiet but busy Monday back in the office today. There was some sort of office-team-building function going on so I stayed behind and enjoyed the stillness while I was working away.
Came home, and like the irresponsible adult that I tend to be on nice days, I neglected to come in the house until late into the evening.
Overall, a decent Monday so I can't complain.
Hope everyone has had a good day.

I bought the Music Trivia, thinking that Stew might enjoy it, and he did. I then found the Literary Quiz book amongst my poetry books. I know nothing about music trivia and I've discovered that I know very little about literature, or at least about the questions in this book.
