To me it looks like VLC is slightly darker and perhaps a little more saturated. Perhaps a slight gamma shift?

I had one tiny lock that formed in the short hair on the back of my neck, the hairs that never grow longer than a few inches. This entire lock fell off a couple days ago. I'm keeping it.

I'm figuring out how to record, edit and upload 3D video to YouTube. The instructions I've found on HOW TO: Create YouTube Videos in 3D say that you need to upload a video that has two videos combined, side-by-side. The easiest way I've found to do this is to use QuickTime Player 7. More here: How To: Create Side-By-Side Video with QuickTime 7 Pro

Here are the contents of /System/Library/Components/CoreAudio.component/Contents/Resources/SystemSounds. These all play just fine through QuickTime Player.

Just a quick try. this is my first "time-lapse" video. It's a bit shaky because I didn't have a tripod and did everything manually.
I used this tutorial and quicktime pro 7 on mac to do it.

One frame from a 1280 X 720 HD video clip. The content was created with Gimp and iMovie. This jpg image came from the export, by Quicktime 7, of each frame of a selected segment from a much larger video. A blank white 1280 X 720 pixel image was created in Gimp. The image of the girl sipping her soda is a portion of a picture (taken with a Fuji X10) cropped and scaled to 640 X 720 pixels, and pasted into the blank white image. The remaining white was selected and changed to the pink color, selected from the hair ribbon. This image was intended as the "background" for a small video clip recorded with a cell phone. Knowing that iMovie would crop that video clip to a 16 : 9 aspect ratio, a white rectangle of 180 X 320 pixels was created in the pink area, as a place to "put" the video clip. The resulting composite was imported into an iMovie project as a still image. iMovie turns such still inclusions into 4 seconds of video. The length of that clip was changed to match the length of a video clip recorded at 15 fps with a cell phone. The cell phone video, cropped (by iMovie) to have 16 : 9 aspect ratio, was dragged onto the clip made from the "still" image, positioned and sized to fill the 180 X 320 white rectangle, and incorporated with iMovie's "picture in a picture" mechanism. The result being a small cell phone video playing in that small area to the left of the soda sipper. The iMovie mechanism for doing this works very well, with the only "issue" being the crop of the video clip to match the aspect ratio of the iMovie project. Since I could "size" the video, I could avoid enlargement pixellation distortion. So, the only problem would be losing video content to the crop, if that happened.
