So I figured out how to save from i-Movie to a Quicktime file and it makes the file size SO much smaller, which is great! The quality, I see now, is not quite as clear any more. Oh well.
Now that I'm figuring this out, I hope to do some creative video pieces in addition to the video-diary thing. :-)

A short film was composed using roughly 550 images of Comet C/2011 L4 (PanStarrs) on three separate evenings. The first few seconds of the movie depicts the close configuration of the comet and the moon on March 12, 2013. The remainder of the movie was made of sequences of images taken on March 21 and 23, 2013. The individual images were compiled using QuickTime and made into a short film. Each individual photo was made with a Canon T2i using various exposure settings. *** Please View in Large with HD Turned On !! ***

I didn't really intend this to be a timelapse, I was just taking a lot of pictures trying to catch the lightning in this wicked storm yesterday, look closely and you can see it. Made all my corrections in lightroom, exported to jpg 640x480 and combined in quicktime, couldn't be much easier...what do you all think?
Sooo flickr...I was called a milf at my sons christmas program tonight...that was interesting...

First EVER timelapse.
Not the most interesting subject.
I left it on at home when I went to work (it's still shooting, I just tried putting this clip together remotely from work).
So far, I messed up with leaving autofocus ON and setting the wrong whitebalance.
It shoots 5 exposures (-2/-1/0/+1/+2) in jpeg small, batch edited in photomatix, imported in lightroom and cropped to 1920x1080, then put together in quicktime. Looks like crap, but it's a start! :)
5 exposures HDR'ed to 1 shot and run at 30 FPS.
So... this video consists of 3625 shots.
I'll replace this one when the rest is rendered.

Better late than never. Finally got around to finishing up my time-lapse of the transit. Taken June 5, 2012 from the San Francisco, Bay Area. Over 275 stills were taken over about a 4 hour period. Some shots were thrown out due to clouds so there are a couple of jumps in the sequence.
