From AOU is the speedy Avenger Quicksilver. I changed the arms and added more color to the legs. You didn't see that coming?
Today's story and sketch "by Me" you see Mardick Gofish in his B&R Anti Gravity 86 "RS" Coupe, (Raydon Sled),
powered by Raydon a chemical element with symbol Rn and atomic number 86. It is a radioactive, colorless, odorless, tasteless noble gas. It occurs naturally as an intermediate step in the normal radioactive decay chains through which thorium and uranium slowly decay into (lead;sled fuel), radon itself, is a decay product of radium. But that is
enough science for today, lets just say the boys (Mostly Alien) at B&R have harnessed the Raydon with Ions as an anti gravity fuel that will be present long into the future. But as interesting as that all is, today we are
sketching and telling the story of Mardick's brother and business partner,
(Laurence "Limpy" Gofish), Limpy got his nickname after his first
crash in the Quicksilver Flying Machine you see flying above Mardick, he got the limp after having both legs reattached
after a wreck on nearby Saddleback mountain, (the first responders to the wreckage were a team of medical students
on vacation from medical school, "FSU" (Field Surgery University), a great bunch of kids who had never even seen a four foot tall grey Alien from Lippo the blue moon, or seen one in a terrible plane crash, with both little legs detached,
that could be the reason they attached the left leg to the right side, and the right leg to the left side, causing
(The Limp). But after some months of rehab, Limpy stoped walking in circles. But that is a story for another time.
Now Limpy with thousands of hours behind the stick of the Quicksilver gives flying lessons to Aliens from around the
galaxy who find it exciting to fly a real piece of old school aviation history, at the Quicksilver Flying School,
here in the Hills of Anaheim.

Silverhawks is one of the properties I've been wanting to do since I started doing LEGO customs. But it's only recently that I found the parts I needed to do them justice (thanks in large part to Chrome Brick City).
To start, here's the team leadership in the form of Commander Stargazer and Quicksilver.

Quick shot of a really nice Ford GT in a rare Quicksilver Gray. I'm sorry I haven't been commenting lately, I have a ton of work this week. I will be active again this weekend. Please comment!
Our Mr. Maximoff aka Quicksilver is having a go on the treadmill, wonder if he's going to fall down or the machine will break...

The hair is from Magneto. It works perfectly for Quicksilver.
The head is from the Alden Ehrenreich Han Solo. I think the smirk works perfectly for Quicksilver's personality.
The torso is from Electro. It is the best option available. Use medium blue arms and white hands, both of which can be found on Captain Cold.
The medium blue legs also come from Captain Cold, but can be found on many other figures.
The snow melt on the cow parsley reminded me of mercury blobs we were encouraged to play with at school in the mid 60s!!! That was before they realised just how poisonous it was.
Came across this grass at Almaden Quicksilver Park. This park was once a busy mining center for more than 125 years. It is now managed by the Santa Clara County Parks.

Unfortunately there just wasn't a cloud in the sky today but I've been dying to shoot this guy. Although my brother was the big Silverhawks fan I really dig them too!
well the latest close up from the brotherhood customs i did a while bike, how i imagine Quicksilver wood look if he was in the first class team (i realize the face is a bit stretched and i would definately thin it our and shrink it down a bit if i redid them
Sorry for being so inactive recently, I've been caught up with exams, but I'm back now so here's a drawing of Pietro Maximoff/Quicksilver in Lego that I drew then scanned onto my computer and edited using Gimp...Hope you all like it. p.s I know the editing is a bit sloppy in some areas, I'm just trying it out.
Today's story and sketch "by me" we are back at "FSU" Flying Stuff University, and home
of the Flying Lawn Chair Design Laboratory. And today is the first flight, first flight
sense the plane was rebuilt after a horrendous wreck in Trabuco Canyon last year, that was
of course the emergency surgery to replace Laurence Gofish's Legs,
which was done in such a hurry, the left leg was replaced on the right and, as you can guess
the right leg on the left, and the reason his nickname is "Limpy", It really should be
Twirly he kind of starts out going either to the right or left in circles a bit before
getting on a forward path, it was not really to much the medical students fault,
they were just at the wreck site before there was a crash, and were actually hiding out
from Homeland Security for over extended visa's.
Another problem was none of the students spoke Limpy's native Lipponian, or English, and
Limpy could not speak French, plus they had never seen, let alone replaced the
legs of an short grey Alien from Lippo. It has worked out well for the group, Mardick hired
the students and are now all working at "FSU" in the new Flying Stuff Trauma Center,
which at the moment is only a very nice large Cabela's camping 13-ft. x 27-ft tent,
the students were hired by Mardick as "PMS" Professional Medical Staff, they Painted
"Mash 4077" on the tent and seem to be having a great time, all of the Moon Pies and
Adult beverages they want, and it seems none of them really want to return to Quebec.
Limpy is doing fine, as you see him floating along the airstrip in one of his retro
B&R Chevy Gliders, and of course above flying the Quicksilver One, (the first flying
machine built around a Lawn chair with Radon Anti Gravity Drive system),
it is Mardick himself who looks to be having a great time.
I will do a sketch of the Medical facility soon, along with more exciting
tales from the"FSU" and flying lawn chair laboratory and much more very soon,
till then taa ta the Rod Blog.
